I would get Frank because I think he would fit our style better more direct possession based attacking football. But Iraola has been impressive thus far and his build up plays from Bournemouth has been very successful. We will see.
I don’t know what it is, but Frank just strikes me as another coach that would struggle to be successful should he make the next step up managerially.

Well, since he led them to promotion to PL he has been good enough to keep Brentford in midtable for years. Remember most managers fail to do that. So he is competent enough to be a PL manager for sure.

Not saying he will win us the league but he will get us back into the top 4 contending.

Just out of curiousity, I'm assuming you'd be in the Iraola camp. Why do you think Xavi is a "fairweather continental type" but Iraola isn't?

Has there ever really been a fairweather continental type? Even just one example of a coach who was like that?

Iraola is almost certainly headed back to Spain at some point- I suppose he is here for money and professional ambition.

Xavi is so pro-Barca through and through it’s hard for me to think he has any genuine ambitions to do much else except manage for Barca, for Spain, or in Spain.

As for fair weather continental managers we need look no further than Conte.

No way frank. The other week we beat them 2 nil he failed the audition. Dont like the idea as well watching Tottenham side launching long throw ins in box. Stoke fans got excited when Delap launched a throw in in box. Were better than that. Iraola all day long for me.

So? We lost to Ipswich too sir.
We also won against Man City this year in the cup, I guess pep also failed the audition?

Why are we best suited to an up and coming coach?

btw Xavi is an up and coming coach.

Because we value youth/don’t want to pay the wages for experienced top players. And younger coaches tend to play youth more.

So was Pep. Xavi has already done that. Spanish midfielders tend to do well as managers.
