Honestly this place sometimes brings out the worst in people including me, living on a toxic forum trying to constantly do the one-up thing is just tedious and pretty sad.

I hate watching my team play, I hate what my club has become and hate what our fans have become as well - we have normalised dross at this football club from top to bottom.
Couldn’t agree more mate and you’re right it does bring out the worst in people, even I have been guilty of that at times.

I think one thing most of us agree on is the state of the football club and like you say, how we have normalised dross from top to bottom.

Fairs.

I'll be honest he's absolutely horrible, I think many fans including myself was guilty of sipping the Ange cool aid because of his bravado and the way he talks but honestly if we played the way he carries himself in press conferences then we'd win the league but truthfully it's just a pile of wank.

What I don't get is how comes the players are coming out every week and saying good things about the manager yet on the pitch they're not even running for him anymore and stopped doing the basics, it's almost as if he's convinced the players that it's okay to lose as long as they are playing the right way because of his philosophy and if they keep doing the right things the results will start to bear fruit in the end, he's brainwashed our players just like he has brainwashed our fans, it's easy to see how because he's just so convincing but the guy's a complete charlatan.

Let's be real. we're not going anywhere near that Europa and likely to get done vs Frankfurt, when we get knocked out of Europe which effectively ends our season it's gonna hit like a ton of bricks...A lot of fans are banking on Europa out of pure hopium because it's a distraction tool for how shit we've been in the league.

Happy to admit I was wrong, massively and TBH I was being a bit of a cunt on here and trolling people the Ange outers for a few weeks, so I apologise to folk on here, maybe I should create an apology form for myself!

Love you all x

Apology accepted.
I was quite actively vouching on AngeOut side at least since before Xmas

Which would have been PERFECT time to get that clown out. Still had January window ahead, also in decent position in Europe and through some luck still in all cups + point gap in EPL was not too massive. PLUS there was mini-winter break to actually do some coaching. Something that our current charlatan seems allergic to.

Ah... what could have been.

I think they believe in the idea of Ange but don't believe in his tactics and when they make a mistake like giving the ball away for example...he's not holding them accountable because they're playing 'his way'. It actually reminds me of Kompany at Burnley, he took them down back to the Championship and the players were making silly errors were punished because they were following his instructions.

I will caveat this by the way by saying that his style would obviously work with better players which is an obvious thing to say because you can say that about any manager but this setup isn't designed to get the best out of our current players, you can't keep losing matches and expect to keep your job.

Fair again.

But also exactly why we can’t just flip flop and go in a different direction after Ange.

This club doesn’t do the amount of player turnover to flip the script on play style in a couple of windows. This is a whackamole club that takes so long to plug one gap that another one opens up.

If I’m honest, it might even be the manager after the next who actually gets consistent performance from this style of football we want to play… Unless we get new owners.

Just look at what happened with 3 pragmatic managers after Poch. We decided that was the style that would lead to trophies with our veteran squad. Even after Conte left, we still had massive holes in the squad to really play disciplined, pragmatic football.

Mourinho and Conte are serial winners who tried to instill a win at all costs mentality. It didn't work, but I can't see how Ange has done anything which suggests he has more of a winners mentality?
The question then is why didn't it work. Serial winning managers have come and gone, some of the world's best players have come and gone. We're still Spursy, we still don't have a winning mentality...so how does that change?

Mate, this club is a scam, I don't even know what to expect, we could do a complete turnover of players but so what, we're gonna follow it up with more years of rebuilding and our best players wanting out only for the youngsters to step up and eventually leave in a few years being replaced by more young players.

I guess all we can hope for is a manager like Poch to come in and coach the hell out of these players and improve them whilst dealing with the constant fuckery by the board of not actually wanting to compete.

Watching the carabao final yesterday. No way woukd Ange sit back, play long balls over the Liverpool press. Block off the route to Salah, just about put him out of the game.
Eddie Howe is quite happy to play very defensive at times. Last ten mins yesterday they were taking it in turns to go down injured, suffering from cramp. Anything to waste a bit of time.
Ange just does the same thing and wonders why he gets beat more often than he wins.

A manager like Poch comes around every what 4-5 managers we hire and then even if they get to the heights of the CL final, they'll get the sack somehow if all their stars don't align.... :ange-lol::myword:

So Ange continuing on his merry (2nd season) way heading to 20 plus losses and many embarrassing records set along the way.
His (one trick pony) tactics are so easily picked apart, that to keep him in the job any longer is just pure negligence and or self preservation from the untouchables (who employed him) and who have next to zero football knowledge.
