Yank team is shit. Pochettinos biggest weakness is his inability to pick decent jobs. PSG and Chelsea were bloody terrible choices as well.
USA comes with inflated egos but when your big star is Pulisic you're not going to win that many football matches. And with the tournament being at home, anything less than quarter finals will be viewed as some big failure.

Yes
I always got the feeling with Poch is that these teams never really see him as a top coach, more like an interim. Is hard for him to garner respect. People possibly think it's only Spurs he has managed with some results but still he hasn't won anything with us.

You’ve hit the nail on the head here. Pulisic is good, Weah is pretty good, the rest are mid at best. Past US teams made up for technical and/or athletic deficiencies with grit and point-to-prove fire (similar to countries like Iceland, Australia, etc). This bunch lacks that, they feel they’ve already proven themselves because most play for top European clubs (even if they are not starters). Our best player so far this cycle might be Luna, who plays in MLS. Poch has his work cut out for him.
As for ditching the US for Tottenham, I would say there’s close to zero chance of that. He will relish the world spotlight of managing the home country in a World Cup. He has often spoken about how he considers the WC the pinnacle of the sport.
