People stopped caring when we became one of the highest net spenders in the league. Prior to that, literally everybody would be speaking about the lack of spend/net spend. Have a look at the posts on here...that's literally what everyone (including myself) would be bashing Levy about (amongst other things).

People started moving the goalposts when they couldn't use spend/net spend anymore and moved on to the issue regarding wages. I've dug through old posts when people were having the discussion before and besides Shadydan Shadydan , who tbf to him brought this issue up PRIOR to our high spend/net spend, you couldn't see many posts at all about the wages yet you could see hundreds of posts about our lack of spend.

I think this summer we will significantly increase the wages (probably with the bulk being players like Gomes and David who who are free so will demand a highish wage) and the argument will then be "why are we not spending much?".."why is our net spend shit?"

I’ve been talking about wages for a long time as well mate.

There’s been solid data studies that show wages are strong predictors of success, whereas net spend isn’t.

I just think that has taken a while to filter into fan narratives and media debates.

How long has the club known that wages get you better better players than transfer fees is up for debate.

All this "We won't spend recklessly " patronising bullshit.........from the highest paid director in European football. Who's football team never actually wins anything.

So basically, for all those losers out there still supporting him, Doing things the right way means spending far less of our revenue on attracting better football players than the league average, and far more than the league average on boardroom salaries.

How can any Spurs supporter not want them out ffs

Generally if you want top players it’s wages + transfer fees + agent fees.

Anything less and it requires very good scouting and even this has a lot of risk. You can say well what about Ndombele but just because we where shit when we tried it once doesn’t mean other clubs are, particularly other clubs that win things.

Pay low fees but high wages or high wages but low fees you will always be operating in a lower market in the transfer window. That fine to do sometimes but there are times you need elite quality and we don’t do that.

It's not really moving the goal posts.
People may say that we spent more on Solanke than City Spent on Haaland.
But did we? Did we reaaaaally?
Add up the wages, signing on fees, bonus, agent fees, back handers, bent sponsorship deals and then compare what we spent.
This isn't a new thing either. We had a wage cap when most of our rivals didn't.
Our wage cap now is simply "less than them"

Levy is a bean counter. He knows he can put a fee down as an asset so that's not bad. He could even get his money back if he's good. Wages are 100% liability so they have to be kept as low a possible.
Whilst our fee spend may have gone up, our ratio of income to wages has not, and if anything, it's been working its way down for years.

Read his twaddle. And don’t care.

If I had direct access to him and only a few lines to share. This is what I would offer.

“Fuck off out of the club. If you can’t afford to play this game, then sell up to someone who can. Otherwise you are just a parasite”

Levy should start a rival forum to this one called The Frightened Cuck. I wish somebody would solder the cunt's nipples to a 1970s Wicksteed roundabout.
