It truly baffles me that there are so many posters on this thread, and the Ange ones, that seem obsessed by what other posters think. How do you all find the time or energy to give a fuck?
I’ve always had time for ENIC Out posters when I was ENIC In. Not for them all. The ones who continually post lies and bullshit don’t get a pass, but the others, with actual gripes? Crack on. Why would I care what a stranger thinks? Why do you?
Most of the posters still ENIC In on here either don’t post regularly, don’t post in this thread anymore, maybe can’t be arsed changing their votes, or maybe don’t want to be the subject of a pile on if they try to be positive. It’s happening on the main Ange thread, with harry7 being positive and getting a kicking. I like a wee bit of positivity in these dark days - a marked improvement on the constant “fat cunt”, the hilarious “has he gone yet?” and the persistent “anyone who disagrees with me is an idiot” stuff that everyone else posts.
Not one poster on here knows everything about the game or the club, yet many post as if they are the fount of all knowledge. Maybe we respect one another’s opinions more and have a more enjoyable forum?

I know we dont need to , but Levy is making out we're poor because of the profit margin in the statement and we dumb fans should be grateful
Maybe he thinks we don’t know that a £70m loss on stadium depreciation isn’t a real loss, just an accounting trick or higher net spend is great but our wage reductions mean we are shopping in Lidl.
He would have been better just saying it’s been a tough year, not done well enough in the league, will do better next season and aim higher and not even bringing up money.
The issue he has is his tricks done work anymore. He needs a new approach but all humans are creatures of habit and he can’t change.

I've come across this argument before, people saying 'we aren't big enough to sign big players'. Firstly, history says otherwise & Secondly, the biggest hurdle of making us 'attractive' to 'big' players is our wage-to-profit ratio.
Hibus-conductor , I’m angry about many things about Tottenham under Levy, some of which you have posted and some of which others have posted.
I’m currently liking Aphex ’s posts on this, I just have little time to post a lot here, so resort to digs sometimes.
I, also, in no way wish to criticise those who still like Levy/ENIC. I’ve just decided that I’m Levy/ENIC out, there’s little I can do and I’m not going back to Levy/ENIC in.
For my part, I have no problem with ENIC outers, if we could find a better owner (whatever that looks like) I’m with them, and I am definitely a “Levy needs to step away from the fucking football” because he’s continually made poor choices that impact the footballing side. And criticising the wage/revenue ratio is fair.
But criticising Levy for creating large revenue streams that benefit the football club is fucking idiotic. Accusing him of prioritising those over football is also daft. The constant allegation that he is pocketing money that should be the clubs is also daft, you can see that the only thing he takes is a salary, a salary that is smaller than most of his first team squad and his head coach. His big payday comes when he sells the club.
Oh that decision has definitely already been made. The question now is if Ange makes it to the end of the season or not.
Levy may not prioritise of value silverware. But he does care about finishing as high up in the league table as possible and even he knows that this season has been a disaster in that regard.
I mean, none of our "special players" in the Levy era have been particularly pricy in terms of fees. Kane and Bale were developed in house (Bale bought dirt cheap from Southampton), Eriksen was bought for 11 million. Rafa for roughly 8.
Our big buys since the turn of the millennium sadly have more of a tendency to flop like Ndombele, Gio and Richarlison. But we do have a bit of a knack for developing special players every now and then.

But the salary Levy takes has made him the best paid chairman in the Premier League, over 23 years, while he has delivered one League Cup. Surely, as a supporter of the club that should be all that matters to you? Levy is a failure as chairman of a football club that used to win trophies. Then there are his bonus payments, for failure, and the fact he cannot be removed.

No the biggest hurdle to making us attractive is our lack of trophies. Kane did not leave for money, he was offered more. He left because he wanted to win trophies. Now this season for the first time in years we have a Manager prioritising trophies. It is for that reason I support Ange staying to the end of the season. All the teams left in the Europa are beatable certainly more so than Chelsea or Liverpool away. We will have to play better & have some luck ( like our CL run to the final) to win the Europa but whether we win it or not we simply cannot go back to chasing the top 4 trophy and not care about trophies or we will never become attractive to big players.
Yes I do blame Levy for the lack of trophies as he sets the targets and PL position has clearly been more important than trophies.

I’m a fan of Tottenham Hotspur. For me, winning is everything.
It’s the ENIC thread mate , I won’t be losing sleep over peoples opinions though . My post was in response to JT saying that some were intransigent and were defending ENIC out of bloody mindedness. I was articulating , perhaps badly that I really don’t get why people are so reluctant to admit they got something wrong . I was not even specific to purely ENIC, I basically said people get things wrong all the time in life. I just think it strange to be unable to say I got that wrong . As I said I definitely called it wrong for way too long on Ange . I just think defending him once I had reached the conclusion he was not up to it would be really odd behaviour
