Was just about to type that. Levy had to make a profit on him and cashed in.
Missing him big time this season.

We need to get rid of Son, Romero, and Vic from the 'leadership group'- they are not good leadership material. We have some players that could be good leadership material though: Maddison, Solanke, Van de Ven, Danso, Kulusevski.
We really need a new coach to figure out what the future spine of the team will be. After that is figured out we can determine a captain and leadership based on who is most likely to feature regularly. I personally like the idea of Kulusevski as a captain, but if he isn't going to be first choice at either of his positions, it doesn't make sense to make him captain.
It's sad but it doesn't seem like the club- Levy mainly- is sophisticated enough to create and sustain a genuine culture of developing young talent and being competitive, like Dortmund are, for example. I'd like to see them embark on a genuine rebuild around Kulu as a 10 for example, but that would require identifying and hiring a great coach, keeping them happy, and sustaining a possibly rock first season while the rebuild occurs. Since I think that's beyond Levy, I recommend a more conservative strategy, playing obvious players in their obvious positions, such as Maddison at the 10.
That would give us some undisputed starters next season:
Dom
LW-Maddison-RW
Bergvall-CM
LB-VdV-Danso-RB
GK
Of these you get: Dom, Maddison, Bergvall, VdV, and Danso. There really isn't much of a choice for captain except Maddison or Solanke. We should go ahead and pick Maddison as captain, and make Solanke and VdV his VCs.
Solanke then? VdV? I can't really see who else could do it- we are very much short of captain type material.I agree with a lot of your takes on here, but I have to say, for me Maddison would be appalling choice as captain and wouldn’t fix any of the issues that our current “captains” have.
Solanke then? VdV? I can't really see who else could do it- we are very much short of captain type material.
Well this is it for me, I don’t think we really have a suitable candidate at all. I almost think we basically need to go out in Summer to buy ourselves a captain.
Solanke, I just don’t know what he’s done that would show him to be a good choice for captain, poor bloke spends the game wandering about hoping someone might give him even a half chance to score.
Maddison, spends more time on his arse than on his feet, whining at the ref and tbh is so flakey and in and out of games, if he dissapears off or has one of his no show performances how can we expect him to lift anyone else?
Romero doesn’t want to be here, Mickey rarely is, Vicario will tell you to keep calm then pass it to the opposition, and Son might be the single worst choice of captain I’ve ever seen in my life - great player, we owe him a lot, but he just doesn’t have a captains bone in his body unfortunately.
The only player that shows something like leadership is Bergvall, but he’s too young and new to the league and just needs to be able to focus on developing himself as a player without trying to lead this shit show.
The club really has got the leadership at the club so, SO wrong.
We also need a couple of hard bastard Roy Keane types to provide some steel!Go get some players who can lead, it's not going to work if you're running a youth project.
I always thought that Hojbjerg and Dier would have made good captains; Royal not really.I think it's hillarous that some of the most loathed players are now genuinely missed for their character as men, as fighters and are indeed sorely missed for their simple spirit. So here is my apology to these three players in particular who however shit didn't hide, fought for the badge and never simply pussied out of anything.
Pierre-Emile Højbjerg Eric Dier Emerson Royal
I AM SO SO SORRY. I NEVER VALUED ENOUGH FOR WHAT YOU DID GIVE, AS OPPOSED TO WHAT COULD NOT DO.

Hojbjerg gets better with every passing month! We should never have sold Højbjerg.
That was captain material, played for the shirt - fuck the haters.
You overestimate the attention paid to your posts Shady
The amount of notifications I receive from my posts says otherwise, I even have 2 from you in the past 5 mins![]()
That didn't stop Ledley King from being one of our best ever captains.
