Surprised he signed a new deal after this seasons debacle. Pleased though. Could be our next hoddle.
A kid is given a chance to double his money at a Premier League football club, still has loads of learning to do and levels to step up to. He has a platform here now to push on, he's a first teamer and one of the success stories in the team and one of the only stand out player this season - this is the best place for him for the time being.
He was under contract anyway, and wasn't going anywhere.

People do this with every young midfielder who drops a shoulder or two. Immediately anointing them as better than whatever less technical but much better experienced player we have.
