Match The Bodø Affair: The Mighty Tottenham vs Bodø/Glimt of Nordland - 2000hrs 1st May 2025 - UEFA Europa League Semi Final Leg 1

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Comparing a 9000 seater to a 60 thousand seater. Yeah sound mate. Fucking hell
Yes of course they are different, but tbh even allowing for the 60k, given we had a blank sheet of paper, the food and drink served, and in particular the service, is fucking terrible. Piss poor. Why didn't we get it right. Baldy could even have made more money! Food and drink in the boxes is fine FWIW.

Yes I think it was the Chavs where we played Sonny at LB where he looked decidedly uncomfortable!

Crazy 🤪

I remember justifying the decision to play Son there before the game with my mates.” Sonny will pin back Chelsea’s wide players as he’s so dangerous,” then about 10 minutes in he gave away a penalty. Really disastrous decision by Poch to play him there.

I think we will be alright. They need to attack us from the off, they will leave gaps and I didn't think there defending was much cop - we should have scored more last night but, messed up countless good situations.

We've been here before, when we complain about teams sitting deep and saying that an attacking team will give us chances.
And then we play a Newcastle, or a Fulham, or a Liverpool and they score for fun.

Can I suggest you open them? Possibly put some lenses over them?

Particularly when you have an agenda against the club, which you've taken great pains to browbeat everyone with.

Ah, the bastion of refereeing professionalism, the Swiss leagues.

Whilst it appears that you'd be celebrating them. At the very least, you'd be using them as a stick to beat our club with.

The go to response by anyone on here who cannot deal with their "opinion" being challenged.

We win a European semi final leg convincingly, yet your immediate response is not only to piss on the chips of anyone actually pleased about the performance, you want to shit in their burger as well.
From the guy who's basically the most obnoxious & nastiest person ever on TFC...but you'd shit yourself in front of any of us in person. You make Dudu sound like a nice humble guy. The day you actually wanna talk football instead of just coming on here to slap people off for their opinions, gimme a holla.

Players also gently place their hands on a defenders back in the corner and get a freekick everytime, that wouldn't be given in the box. So I'm not sure on your point here?

Romero deservedly got a yellow. It's nothing more than a yellow.

Bissouma used his strength, the player was looking for the foul and rightly it didn't get given.

Are you just that desperate to see us lose that you'll find a way of diminishing every moment last night? Did it not fit your agenda or something?

The amount of decisions we've had go against us, sometimes we deserve them to go our way.

Sure, but so far this campaign they've only won once by 3 goals (5-2 vs Twente, in February when the average temp is -1C).

It's obviously a factor, but historic stats suggest that we're favourites.

Weather forecast next Thurs suggests a balmy 7c with a decent chance of rain, Norweigan weather fans.
Their seasons are not aligned.
Their European season started in the 2024 season and that is purely 2024.
At home, in this European season (once knocked down from the CL qualifiers into the Europa) they've won at home to Porto (3-2) Besiktas (2-1) and lost at home to Quarabag (1-2) in the league phase....
The knockout phase kicked after their 2024 campaign ended - 5-2 vs Twente, 3-0 Vs Olympiacos, 2-0 Vs Lazio, so all 3 by 2+ goals.
Against half decent teams.
We shouldn't take them lightly or assume 3-1 is job done.

Not just European refs who pay that penalty.

Has everyone completely forgotten the penalty against Southampton that led to the Conte meltdown?

It's a ridiculous penalty but it's paid 💯 all the time. Jaynola Jaynola and his fictitious Swiss ref mate are talking absolute bollocks

We conceded one those pens on opening day v Brentford last season too.

Wind your neck in.

I'm 50yo, got a house by the FR/CH border, do lots of work with Swiss people & firms and I'm an ex player & coach, so yeah my fault for having certain acquaintances. And obviously I got nothing better to do than make shit up. You hear yourself?

End of the day, I'm entitled to my opinion, no matter how shit you think it is. Sorry for thinking that was the point of TFC.

Deuterz Deuterz See you at the Emirates. Forgot that soon as we dare criticise Spurs, that makes us Gooners

I'm aware the seasons aren't aligned, but fair enough - I somehow forgot the Olympiacos score.

I'm not taking it lightly or assuming it's job done. What I'm stating is that we should be considered clear favourites at the current scoreline - and the bookies would agree.

What I told my mates before the match, and what I'd stand by, is that 3 goal lead probably hands us the tie, 2 goal lead makes us favourites and 1 goal would make it 50/50.

My original post was more of a joke about how only we could screw this up.

yep
difference being the Premier league is an elite league where everyone can beat anyone. This competition is way below and this team will be susceptible to counter attacks - I just think we will be ok and get through

Shit, so it wasn't sarcasm? You were serious.

I guess we have to get Robbie to start singing I'm Loving 'AngeCont Ball Instead', again. Nowdays (Incase you also one of the school teacher types. It is an intentional slang word used where I come from), he'll have to add a few word to his lyrics (Please sing for effect)

"And through it all,
He started copying Conté;
Mourinho and Old Nuno;
Just to win a Game.

And through it all,
Mate, he learnt to counter;
You don't need 11 Strikers,
It helps to have defense;

We hoof the ball,
At Every sign of trouble;
No longer do we dribble,
We clear our lines instead

I Love AngeCont Ball Instead....

(Repeat as necessary, until you understand.)

Clown, have you watched a game this year. Shaming every manager that has gone through this club just makes you look sillier. Clearly there has been problems beyond the mangers that have come here.

I don't think the flight operators are are confident as some of our fans as their prices haven't changed much.

I mean, Galatasaray should have had 7 or 8.
They had 28 shots, 10 on target. How it wasn't an absolute massacre is beyond mind blowing but it wasn't because of our defending or Ange's coaching.
