No goals and assists - no one other teams wanted them.
Soloman would fetch a fee.

The above payers were rated ( hyped) by our fans - not by anyone else.
Skipp was one of the best players in the championship for Norwich and a key part of their promotion side. He excelled in a DCM role and their fans raved about him and were gutted when we recalled him when they came up.

Manor Solomon on his instagram:

"After nearly a year without football, I couldn't have asked for a better comeback season and a better ending. I really don't know what the future holds but I really do know that Leeds United will forever be in my heart. Thank you again, fans, for the unforgettable past few weeks and incredible support and love throughout the entire season. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS" 🏆

Shlomy Ben Ezra (SBE) agency represents Solomon for whom Spurs reportedly would demand up to €20million (£17m) transfer fee - with contacts being made with both Leeds, Marseille (head coach, Roberto De Zerbi, ex Brighton) and no doubt other clubs.

I’m surprised the asking price is so low given he tore it up in the Championship and other similar players have moved to prem for circa £20-40m.

Sinisterra - €23m
Georginio Rutter - €46m
Summerville - €29m

I would be saying £25m based on recent transfers.

Everton have shown interest but my Leeds loving brother thinks it is just to put pressure on Leeds to let them have the on loan Jack Harrison cheap?

Wouldn't it make more sense to bring him back and not buy Tel?

Not really. Solomon is a decent player but he’s a rotation option at best, something we need to get away from as we’ve a lot of ‘good’ players and serious lack of quality potential and very good to excellent in attack.

Tel - similar to Kulusevski will be a smart purchase if we can renegotiate his fee to something more reasonable. We shouldn’t be judging him on what he’s done so far given he’s a youngster in his first half season. Take Bergvall for example - he’s come on leaps and bounds this season. At the beginning he would have been looking at a few appearances in the domestic cups only.

I do however accept that Tel isn’t a direct replacement for Son (ready to hit the ground running) but I would much rather have Tel and Odobert as our future wide forwards than players in Solomon/Werners ilk (latter leaving Thank
God).

I haven't been impressed with Tel. What should we be judging him on if not his performance in the team so far?

We need a player on the left who is ready to start - Son is sadly finished as a player who can manage playing midweek and weekend, and may well be a bench player able to do 45 mins next season.

Solomon is fine for a bottom half of PL team/top of Championship and at age 25 is not going to improve dramatically but that's not what Spurs want to be, so he's not a player Spurs should be looking to retain.

Tel has not shown much signs of progress in the half season he has been at Spurs, he still looks very raw and not showing signs of being the LW player (nor striker) who is a threat to the opposition - unlike Bergvall who by Christmas was becoming a regular first team player, looking very good and comparable with more experienced players and now towards end of his first season as a starting candidate for Spurs on merit.

So Tel is not the starting level we want (he's scored 1 penalty not earned by him and a goal he didn't know about as a Johnson cross him him and bounced into goal so productivity almost zero so far) - he might get there but he may not. At the moment at best he's a bench option and I'd much prefer he was not that as that blocks Moore's first team chances, and he's looked more threatening in first team at age 17 than Tel aged 20.

Odobert has shown more in a handful of games despite his injury, than Tel in half a season, so they are not comparable players although a similar age.
