Fighting for second tier cups is our level with our owners so just expect to get mauled in the CL if we make it but we would have the consolation of having won a cup .We need a manager who keep us up in the top half and hope some bits of silverware now and then somehow come our way .That won't change until Enic feck off .

The doom and gloom about the league just brings pointless negative energy at a time we have a huge prize in our sights.
The league was over the moment that we could neither qualify for Europe or get relegated.
The results this season have been unacceptable but for weeks now it’s all been about the Europa.
First of all getting there, secondly trying to win in a final.
Ange has to go regardless of next Wednesday. He’s alienated himself from a large section of the fan base with his antics and the piss poor results in the league don’t reflect his self aggrandising.
But let’s not kid ourselves that the results in the league over the past few weeks actually matter.
I’d settle for a win on Wednesday, followed by a mutually agreed termination of his services on Thursday morning.
Winning a trophy, watching the gooners fall short again and getting rid of Ange before he can embarrass us in the champions league would be a pretty good season in the end.
Absolutely : and wouldn’t it be great to rest players on Wednesday in order to increase our chances of finishing 16th or even possibly 15th .

41 years ago this Club gave me the greatest night of my football-supporting life . FWIW: we’ve never won the league in my lifetime.
Let’s hope we repeat that on Wednesday. Trust me : you’ll enjoy it .
