I think that's why a lot of Spurs fans play occasions like these down because they've been hurt too many times before, it's the hope that kills you!

I dunno maybe it's just the happy clapper delusion optimist in me lol but I always think we're going to go into matches thinking that we will win, the weird thing is that I don't get burned that much when we lose, when we lost the CL final it didn't affect me that much, I was over in in a couple of days, I've even watched the game back when I was bored haha.

I won't lie to you when we win tomorrow my overriding sense will primarily be relief we finally got over the line and then joy.

I know we have a good chance. But I just can't see us winning. The history and step is too big for us. Kulusevski and Maddison huge losses too. I can just see it all going wrong on the big stage as per usual.

I dunno how any spurs fan who'd been through all the set backs over the years can be confident. It just always goes wrong.

Although there's a few nerves when I think about tomorrow night, I do think we'll win also. Man united's biggest issue is they dont/can't score goals. we've played them 3 times and it's 8:3 on agg to us. and those 3 goals were Frazier Forster gifts.
They have scored 42 goals in the league, Outside of the relegation garbage only Everton are worse for goals, and that's mostly down to having Dyche for half the season.

They've gotten progressively more negative under Amorim . They played their strongest team against Chelsea and managed 1 shot on target in over 90 minutes.
We could win tomorrow with just 1 goal imo. as long as that back 5 plays how it can/how it has in the last 4 europa games
 
Why are so many people on Twitter pretending Bergvall is available all week. He literally only came out of the boot this week and hasn't trained but I keep reading nonsense rumours that he's actually available and training in secret.

Ange wouldn't know the dark arts if it hit in him the head. No chance that is the case. He is out. Get on with it. Sarr is fine and he'll start.

Who really cares if he’s fit anyway. It’s Bergvall, not Maradona or Messi. A decent young player but let’s not pretend he’s the second coming of R9. Maddison is a bigger loss if we’re being honest.

Which is why we need to attack them and push them back, they're shit in open play and average in transition, but without Maddison or Kulu creating it's going to be difficult to fashion chances.

Maybe the rumours were engineered by the clubs media team to keep the conversation focused on that because they knew Bergvall was never going to play.

Also keeps United guessing a bit.

Or, the ultimate twist and it stopped anyone asking about Maddison and the 11 is named tomorrow with one James Maddison in it
 
I want this game over,hopefully of course with a win, and then for someone to sort out how we can have so many players getting injured.

You fear every press conference or breaking news story will be another player out injured.
