Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I reckon Gomes already knows where he will be playing next season, and I'm hoping it's us.

Even if money is tight we could do some really good business this summer.

KWP is available on a free transfer, could complete our FB rota with Porro, Udogie, and Spence (who I think is better on the left), and counts as club trained home grown.

Angel Gomes, also free, would complement Bergvall, Sarr, Gray and Bentancur (assuming we offload Bissouma). Counts as home grown.

Jonathan David, also free, would be greta competition for Solanke and can also play across the front 3 (assuming we offload Richarlison - who I feel may cement cult status with a matchwinner on Weds!).

Then for players requiring fees:

Bryan Mbuemo is reportedly avaiable for £50-60M and I'd be all over that - see him as an upgrade on Johnson and different to Odobert or Moore.

Lastly, Maxime Esteve from Burnley. Fantastic backup for Van de Ven, not quite as quick but left footed, stylistically very similar and a solid defender. Would probably need to pay over the odds @£25M as recently signed a new long term contract, but he has fluttered his eyelids in our direction recently.

Total cost of £75M

Free up squad space / wages / recoup the money by offloading:

Forster (released)
Dragusin (£25m)
Davies (released - join coaching staff?)
Bissouma (£20M)
Richarlison (£30M)
Werner (end of loan)
Gil (£15M)
Phillips (£5M)

Total income of £95M - making us a tidy £10M profit.

GK: Vicario, Kinsky, Austin
RB: Porro, KWP
RCB: Romero, Danso, Gray
LCB: Van de Ven, ESTÈVE, Vuskovic
LB: Udogie, Spence
CM: GOMES, Bergvall, Bentancur, Sarr, Devine
CAM: Maddison, Kulusevski, Donley
RWF: MBUEMO, Johnson
LWF: Son, Odobert, Moore
ST: Solanke, DAVID
Might want to recalculate there mate.

£95M-£75M=?

Money for Hojbjerg as well and Romero, will certainly be off. Buy a paper😂

Really? Because I thought we'd seen countless summers over the last 10+ years where United are linked with a player all summer, and never actually get him. Take Frenkie de Jong for example - didn't they 'almost' buy him in 3-4 consecutive summers? 😂 I know their fans certainly do a lot of moaning about being linked with players who never actually get signed, so I'd say signing Cunha now is probably more of an uncharacteristic act of desperation (good player though he is) after such a shocking season - it's certainly not their M.O. :/

Every day there is an article here or an article there about who we are buying or selling, and it all has to be nonsense, as why would we be trying to buy any players before we get a new manager??

Not so sure Romero will be off. If he agitates for a move we should certainly cash in. But who will spent £60m+ on him this summer? Don’t think atletico can afford him. If we’re in the CL he may stay another year and a good showing at the WC and he’ll get the big move he wants to Spain.

I think De Jong turned them down. Quite a few big players just said no.

Man U can’t afford to splash the cash unless they win tomorrow. They also need to sell, and have some big wages on their books that will be hard to shift. Rashford on £375k per week. Casemiro reported to get a bump to £500k per week if they win the EL. Desperate times if we beat them I think!

hmm, wonder what other club is continually linked with players all summer, they don't then sign :ange-hmm:

Will DL allow him to get within 1 year to the end of his contract? Doubt it.
