Match We can be heroes part two Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester united UEFA Cup final. Bilbao 21st May

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Agree on Richy for a number of reasons.

Definitely beatable but don’t ignore the fact we give up so many chances from the full back areas, every PL game. We are so easy to score against

True.

The question is do we play pragmatically or stick to Postecoglou's preferred style of play?

I am hoping we do a mix and match approach, with a few long balls, which Solanke csn fight for, as well as seeking to pass and move.

These aren't two great sides, but if there is considered to be one pairing of strength, then I think it's our central defence.

Without Maddison and Kulusevski, it's possible we rely more heavily on Porro and Udogie for balls into the box, and that might leave us exposed.

They have the clear edge in midfield, but I think we shade it in the attacking areas.

And we have the edge defensively

I'd have Richarlison and Solanke rotate the 9 and 10 position all game. Both can be a nuisance and it would no doubt leave their centre backs wondering who to pick up

Son Richarlison Johnson

Solanke

Bissouma Bentancur

Udogie van de Ven Romero Porro

Vicario

You know, he was a disaster appointment a bit for us, and his football was turgid, and he's essentially forever a Chelsea legend despite his association with us, also didn't really want him when he came in, but I have a lot of respect for Mourinho. Has a world class ability to cut through bullshit, the fact the most heavily touted rumour is that he was sacked over prioritising the league cup final with his league game team selection in the match prior and told Levy (who wanted to prioritise the league and CL revenue) "this is why you never win things" says he was more in tune with what the fans of the club wanted than the ownership at the time. Again, his style was never a match made in heaven for Spurs but he's never dragged us since in the media and is very respectful considering how much Levy fucked his chances of continuing to win a cup at every club he's managed and the legacy that goes along with that.
I think I'd say the same for Conte. In the thread started after the Southampton game asking when he would be sacked I said "still in charge for Everton", and I honestly believed in that moment he was absolutely right about everything he said in the press conference and nothing would improve by getting rid. The main issue is I think with English being his 2nd language it was too open ended as a wide-reaching attack on the club in general, rather than a targeted calling out of the ownership of the club as intended (if you go back and listen again he completely rakes Levy over the coals but really doesn't do the club much of a disservice).

Anyhow with that out of the way I'm on the sauce early in forlorn hope of some kind of result, the fans of this club fucking well deserve it. COYS
Think you're Mostly Right with this post :)

last time we played them a few months ago and beat them 1 nil

United's team -which will likely be the same tonight except for Amad over Garnacho as its their strongest lineup.

Onana
Maguire
de ligt
Mazraoui
Dalot
Dorgu

Bruno
Cass

Zirkzee
Hojlund
Garnacho

Our team:

Vicario
Spence
Porro
Danso
Davies

Bentacur
Maddison
Bergvall

Kulu
Tel
Son.

our defensive will be considerably stronger, and forwards stronger with Solanke, but midfield considerably weaker.

22 shots to their 16
7 shots on target to their 6
2.15 XG to their 1.54
55.7% possession to their 44.3

everything reads well for us imo, outwork the 33 year Cassimero, and the lazy Bruno and you have a good chance as VDV mops up when they attempt their breakaways
