Match We can be heroes part two Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester united UEFA Cup final. Bilbao 21st May

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Funny thing is all my Woolwich mates are saying we beat a shit United team in a Micky mouse competition. If my memory serves me right that shit United team beat them in the Fa Cup and didn’t Sporting, Villarreal & Olympiacos all knock them out of Europa.:ange-hmm:
Just remind them of 2019 when they lost to Chelski in the final and finished 5th in PL, would they have turned down the chance of CL football if they had won this Mickey Mouse comp.

He didn't get one when he got the trophy (not that he cared). But he had one on during the celebrations.

If they did run out it is because ALL of the players who played any minutes in the EL this season all went 'full kit wanker' John Terry style and queued up (and deservedly so).

One of the things I eally noted last nigth is that ALL of the fringe players were all part of a very close group! That is down to Ange who kept the dressing room at all times.
Kinsky got one I think... Not even registered to play.

Look what you could have won.

Well I didn't do a pre-match post , although We were watching the game in the Tottenham Hotspur stadium , I left in a hurry because the rest of the group wanted to leave earlier to soak up the pre-match atmosphere . It was worth it - the festivities got underway outside on the main road and by 4:30pm they shut the road as the supporters were in the road and preventing the traffic from getting through . There were smoke bombs and flares being let off and a massive group formed outside the west stand - must have been 300 strong singing song after song . The police were in attendance but it was a carnival atmosphere and the police weren't taking cans or bottles off of supporters , which was a welcome gesture .

Anyway the football - The refereeing was questionable , he seemed to give Man Utd a lot of decisions that should have gone our way , and he seemed to be making the game more about him than the football . But..........We've only gone and done it - our first European cup since 1984 . 42yrs ago was the last time we won a European trophy . Both sides were being cautious and we were finding it hard to get through their defence , we made some good goalscoring opportunities but they were being snuffed out . But just before half time after some neat passing a ball into the box found Brennan Johnson and he got a touch to it causing a mix up between their goalkeeper and defender and the ball went into the net . "Pandemonium" Allowing supporters to take their alcohol into the stadium bowl was a nice gesture from the club , but there must have been a good £3,000 worth of beer went up in the air - and I got soaked along with a lot of other supporters . Straight after the final whistle the supporters swarmed onto the pitch , some climbed onto the top of the screen-bases and some even climbed on top of the screens . Thankfully none fell off or got hurt . My doubts over Vicario were proved wrong , he made some match winning saves throughout the game . With 3 of our first choice midfield players injured and unavailable I thought we'd struggle to cope with their midfield , but we were resolute and determined . The longer the game went on the more nervous I got , and we had a few chances to put the game to bed but they managed to get back and defend . 7mins of extra-time , which felt like and age , and was actually 10mins but we stood strong . Then the final whistle - More Pandemonium - more beer in the air and I got soaked a second time . But who cares - I keep pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming . My mate who I go to all the away games with was crying after the final whistle and I was welling up myself . My Son and Daughter were with me - The last time we were together for a game was the 2008 final - I think we need to make a concertive effort to get to more games together . So we have Champions League football next season . The big question is who'll be in the hotseat , as Ange is likely to leave after a really poor season in the league . As much as Ange has delivered our first trophy in 42yrs , we shouldn't be in the bottom 4 of the league . So it's going to be new manager , new elite players and new philosophy . More importantly - We're all going on a European tour in Champions League.........Yid Army

I have no voice, not many people up yet but I was gasping for a cuppa, wide awake after 4 hours sleep. I was in tears at the end of it, sheer, utter relief. So happy for us all we've put up with some shit in the last 17 years, and really happy for Sonny, he stuck with us when it was rough times.
Bring on the victory parade and Brighton!!!!
