Still think there is a 6 in there myself. Agree he’s probably better in a double pivot at least until he gets his confidence up but eventually that understanding he has of all 4 positions in the back 4 will set him up perfectly to be a 6. So much of his ability we haven’t seen yet.

Maybe I’m wrong and he’s really a b2b type but I still think 6.
Aren’t we getting Johnny Cardoso for a 6?

I would look to move these guys on as a priority.

Son 200k - Should go to MLS and retire gracefully. He cant beat a man anymore. Hes not PL quality.
Romero 170k - Top player, but barely plays 25 games a season. Injury Prone.
Maddison 170k - Doesnt do it often enough. Slightly injury prone
Werner 170k - No justification needed
Richarlison 160k - Injury Prone, inconsisent. Good on his day, but not worth the money.
Reguillon 80k - Out of contract
Manor Solomon 60k - Not really good enough
Alejo Veliz - 40k - Why did we buy him?
I feel like the Romero sale is like all the other times ENIC sold our best player and we all rationalised why it was good really. Walker, Kane, Carrick, Modric, Keane and Berba, we were always going to sell them and buy great replacements or they weren't that good. If we were any good, Romero would play more.

A great window for me would be:

Incomings:
Tel
Eze
Palhinha (Cardoso if we can't get Palhinha)
Delap / Vlahovic
Guehi (if and only if Romero goes, however Romero > Guehi)

Outgoings:
- Sonny (love him to bits, for me he's become the biggest legend of the modern era, but he's finished at the highest level)
- Bissouma
- Richy ( both him and Bissouma will forever be cult heroes for their performances in our EL run)
- Reguilon
- Werner
- Forster
- Davies

What do you think of Cherki BC? I like him, but he looks a bit inconsistent to me. Not sure he's the player we need to take us to the next level.
Looking at that chart, he's more or less on a par with Wirtz (for actual goals and assists per 90 minutes) who, apparently, is going for well North of £120M.

If he were to translate that kind of production to the PL, that would be 27 goal involvements in a season in the PL alone.

Stats aren't everything I know, but that's pretty significant.

I think his work without the ball is flawed, and athletically he’s not elite, but for the money being talked about (he’s got a smallish release clause as part of the deal he signed last year I think) I would happily take him, just to have his skill set in the squad.

We have a squad devoid of technical ability and vision in attacking areas, especially if Maddison’s out (which is a lot). He can play WF/ACM. Even if I wouldn’t start him every week, I’d rather have him in the squad as an option than someone like Kulusevski. He can use both feet, excellent technically and most importantly has vision in tight attacking spaces. Creates and scores. Great to have as an option against deep blocks or off the bench.

DeBruynes legs look more gone than Sons, Def couldn't cope with any pressing football and doubt he goes to any other premier league team, Saudi or USA for him methinks.
Personally I would sell Biss over Bents, way too inconsistent and despite his Europa league form it was all against very limited opposition.
Ideal world you upgrade both, but can see us giving Bents another yr.

Would anyone sign DeBruyne for one season if you had the chance?
his legs have gone but hed bring an aura ot the changing room and if you use him sparingly what a weapon still. would be unreal for the kids to have in training too, theyd learn bundles.

when he hangs onto the ball for longer than 2 seconds now he struggles as hes lost power in his legs, but when he plays two touch hes still a joke.

wed never get him tho, hes got far more glamorous opportunities.
