I dunno if people would be happy with mid range Marco Silva or Thomas Frank, but Glasner is going nowhere. Of the elite, Klopp isn’t returning to management any time soon and the best ones are already with huge, successful clubs.

Did we just beat one team to win a trophy?
I can hardly believe that Postecoglou and the higher ups at the club we're mugging off the supporters/season ticket holders, with that dross and seemingly on purpose.
Great we won a cup and I'm happy with the players, manager and coaches for it, and they did well in the Carabao Cup too. However some people spend a lot of money to watch those Premier League matches, and the club chose to fob them off after January with switching their focus off from the Premier League.
In 1984 it was called the UEFA Cup when we won it, we ended up 8th in the league, not just above the relegation zone.

We didn't beat what was in front of us twenty one ties this season including two relegated sides at home. This when he has ample strngth and quality in depth to beat them.
Once the gloss wears off of his EL win then we will see what he does regarding resting players, or is he going to abandon the PL campaign in January 2026 again?

For me it's not personal. Winning a European trophy is fantastic but we are a poor team overall and it's Ange's fault. We can enjoy the cup success, thank Ange to high heaven and still recognise that we could be a much better side with a better coach. I don't think it's impossible to think all of these things at once.
And in winning the Europa league, the club now have a platform to improve dramatically. Do the people who think Ange should stay next season apply the same logic to all of our players? Do you think we shouldn't sign anybody and improve the team? For me, the upgrade begins with the coach, because the coaching has been very bad for large chunks of the season.

But hey, 21 losses after 37 games and you still think the manager is good. The kind of performance that get you relegated certain years, and that's after spending hundreds of millions. Man, you will never get it. Sadly, you're unable to realize that a win against inferior competition mean very little.
No, we beat the 16th placed premier league team. We've lost 21 out of 37 games against English competition. If you don't get that Ange is a horrific manager against, then you never will. I can't help you there. The playing field is more even against english clubs, although obviously Ange has a big advantage over clubs like Everton, WH and Wolves. Still, those clubs outsmarted Ange big time. Ange is so shit, he's only managed to outperform three clubs. And those were newly promoted clubs with almost no money in comparison. Leicester, Ipswich and Soton.
But, you will not get it so no point to even mention it again.

It’s an interesting one in terms of looking at our managers under ENIC. We’ve had BMJ, Harry and Poch who have all done an excellent job getting us to a higher and more consistent level. But winning something is a completely different achievement. It’s changed the whole feeling of the club, from players to fans. It’s showed us we can win. We can have major trophies. Being decent and dreaming is one thing. Delivering trophies is the next level. The UEFA Cup is the biggest trophy after CL and PL, and the past 3 days will live with us forever.
