Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

That dreadful 12:30 away game at Newcastle, followed by defeats to Chelsea, Woolwich and Liverpool when we needed a result or 2 really changed how that season will forever be remembered.

Still think most Spurs fans recognised it as a decent season overall that you might have taken at the start of the season - 66 points and 5th after Kane leaves.

Still you are of course right the most recent results are the most relevant for how you're going forward, but you assess a season in its entirety for full context when talking about 23 24.
It was ok yes. He had a monster new manager bounce. Have to give him some credit for that. Made a big mistake surrendering CC at Fulham.

At the start of this season I said on this Board I'd take a low league position and a cup, and I 100% stand by that. I just think now (A) the monkey is off the back (B) our league form is so bad and the risk of relegation (C) the inherent unlikelihood of a poor manager repeating the same trick ... that we can and should do better.

Well yes because it indicates a direction of travel.

Those first ten games were electric, and if they were recent obviously people would say there's something brewing there. But they're not recent, they're long gone and that form has never looked like being recaptured since.

Don't think we were as fantastic as people maybe remember in those 10 games. We played a lot of duff sides and after Conte, Stellini and Mason, perhaps was easy to look wonderful.

The Woolwich game we looked good in spells, with Maddison and Son doing some great work - but also remember a calamity, monumental fuck up playing out from the back that Havertz? completely fluffed which could have massively changed things in terms of momentum. Obviously the Chelsea game exposed just how thin was the line we were walking but the injuries certainly didn't help, and played a massive part in our lack of cohesion in the following fixtures.

A good watch, fairly basic stuff obviously, but probably not for ange. Get the feeling that although he is a nice guy if you dont want what he wants tactically you're fucked. Completely different from Ange wiping the players bums every week and taking the blame for us fucking up. Surely if our playing staff had anything about them they'd prefer some grown up management.

I think he is worth a punt. I'm actually starting to convince myself I will be annoyed if it isnt him.
There's another, more recent Sky piece on Frank were they follow him for a day at their training ground that is really interesting if you haven't seen it.

He seems to have his head screwed on very well. And bringing this set of standards into the team could do a lot of good.
