100% agree with you , my worry is even if Ange isn’t the one , if we appoint Frank we are going back to just wanting Top 4 on minimum spend , like you say we are a rich club ,
We shouldn’t be going for top 4 , we should be going to win the league.
Wasn't having a go, my man. You're one of the posters I respect the most, even though we sometimes disagree (maybe a bit more often of late

).
I think that's the key thing, really...taking into consideration our finances & history (ancient & recent), as well as the strength of our rivals and other internal & external factors...what is actually realistic for Spurs to achieve year in year out and over a 10-year period, what does a successful season for Spurs look like, what should our true ambition be? We've won two league titles in 140+ years and the last one was donkeys' years ago...so though we finished 2nd & 3rd not that long ago, can we really expect to challenge for the PL, especiall every year? And that's before you factor in Liverpool, City & co.
Obviously not saying I got the answer, but as far as I'm concerned, all things considered...I'd be happy with us getting top 4-5 finishes every year, with the odd (say once a decade...twice at a push) title win when the stars align. Also, I'd love to see us win more domestic cups, well the FA Cup (fuck that Carabao shite)...we really should be winning it at least twice per decade. Reaching the CL last 16/quarters should also be a given most seasons and for the years we're in the Europa, we should be the English Sevilla, able to win it once or even twice per 10-year stretch.
Maybe I'm asking too much, maybe I ain't asking enough. Be interesting to hear your thoughts. But that's where I'm at as a fan of the 9th richest club in the world, one that has a glorious past and plenty trophies in the cabinet, with the best stadium, most expensive ST, highest paid chairman etc etc.
