Never really know about Marseille and De Zerbi. Think there were some issues as late as April. Dunno. He probably fancies himself at a bigger address than Marseille even though they are historically big. I could see him taking the Inter job

Yeah, there was some turbulence (when isn’t there) with DeZerbi at various points in the season, both with the owners and players, but it’s settled down lately and DZ has made some encouraging noises about Marseille. But it is Marseille and DZ, so anything could happen.

And do what with it though? All he’s ever done is finish mid table or lower, and the football is nothing innovative either.

I just don’t see what there is to suggest Frank is going to suddenly turn into a “next level” type of coach that’s going to turn our weak squad into a top 6 team. So far he got Brentford 12th and 3rd twice in the Champ and 9,16,10 in the PL.

Brentford haven’t got as big a budget, but they have been praised for the smartness of their recruitment. There isn’t much difference in overall quality to our misfits. Just don’t see what anyone is seeing that makes them think Frank will have us up the top end.
Just imagine if Ange was at Brentford. They would be relegated... that says it all.

No they wouldn't. With no European football we were 5th last season.

And I'm not arguing for Ange, I'm arguing against Frank.
We were 5th because of our first 10 matches.

Our last 18 our ppg was 1.43, good for 54 points over a full season. That's our worst result since the Ramos run and before that, I guess the Sugar days?

Ange gets Brentford relegated because they're obviously fall less talented individually than our team.

Ange is Schroedinger's Brentford boss, he's a new manager, but the new manager bounce doesn't count.

The weird new reality of the Premier League is that Ange won enough points in his first 10 games to have just about scraped survival in either of the PL seasons he's participated in.

Not this bullshit again as if the first 10 matches are not meant to count or something...I don't know why you're discounting them because our drop in form co-incided with our two key players (Maddison/VDV) getting hurt, Romero getting suspended etc...and we lost momentum.

Even if you remove those matches we were in 9th placed on average over the course of the season.

Nonsense

You don't have to go to the extreme of diminishing his achievements and ignoring context just because you want the manager out...btw I'm with you I want the guy gone but let's not argue bullshit for bullshits sake.

1.9 PPG over Christmas and Spring.

If it wasn’t for our last 10 games we were comfortably top 4.

Not really, if Ange leaves, which epl team would hire him? He would probably go back to spl or some lower league.

Frank is a mainstay in the epl. Let's see what he can do with what we can provide him. I think he will do wonders for us

Ange has 2 years experience in the toughest league in the world, finished 5th one year and won the EL the next. He’s got CL experience and EL experience with trophies everywhere he’s been.

He might end up at AEK for emotional reasons but nobody pays attention to managers struggling at Spurs, let alone when they manage to somehow win things. Ange will end up at a EL level club in Europe most likely. He’d turn Brentford down.

The fact we haven’t made a decision yet is a fucking disgrace.

Fucking decide either way then sign some players you fat cunts

I get what you're saying and I'm not even "Frank in" but I respect what he has done there.

Regarding their recruitment it is smart but nothing extraordinary.

Shade, Damsgaard, Eriksen(short term), flekken, Jensen, lewis-potter, carvalho and Collins, van den berg and Wissa are probably the biggest signings they have made and let's be honest in 4 years in the premier League that isn't a huge outlay especially after they have lost some very good players.

Most of the key men in his squad all came up with him from championship and have improved each year because of his good coaching.

That being said coming to spurs and champions league is a huge step up.

We've absolutely made a decision already. We are talking to other managers right now. If the club wanted to stop the rumours they would be briefing the press saying they are fully behind Ange.

I imagine the club just doesn't want a huge gap between the sacking and the replacement, they want them simultaneous like when we sacked Poch and hired Mourinho. Another Nuno fiasco would do terrible damage.

Yeah makes sense. Just want us to get the fuck on with things, but I do get that.

I think this is the most likely scenario. At least I'm hoping it is.

It's not bullshit. It's bullshit to ignore the context that his system was novel to the epl and teams took a bit of time to react. Once they did we never looked nearly as solid again.

The one counter argument that holds any semblance of merit is that when our starting defense and goalkeeper played, we've looked a top 5 side. But is his system is causing injuries at an unsustainable rate (and there's plenty of evidence to suggest it is), then he's still at fault and his system doesn't work.
