Mate we finished 17th and lost twice as many home games as we won. If you found scrabbling around the bottom of the table "exciting" then I don't know what else to say.
I found winning the Europa League exciting but maybe you haven't been a Spurs fan long enough to appreciate how special the night in Bilbao was... I found finishing 5th last year exciting... I didn't find finishing 17th exciting. In fact I hated it... almost as much as I would hate finishing 9th, 13th, 16th and 10th and being knocked out of the domestic cups before they even get going.

Do you think the decision has been taken out of Levy’s hands?

If he wants a new set up in terms of CEO and DOF, as well as new investment. Perhaps they’ve decided they’ll make the decision on who takes the club into next season.

He finished 5th during the season when that was the squad he had

Ffs....It wasn't the squad he had.

It is missing:
  • Romero, who played 34 games
  • Van de Ven, who played 27 games
  • Maddison, who played 30 games
  • Sarr, who played 35 games
  • Bentancur, who played 25 games
  • Werner, who played 14 games (and was a different Werner this season's one)
  • Dragusin, who played 9 games
Some of those weren't available for that game, but it's really scraping disingenuous into 'care in the community' to be trying to make the argument that that squad in the tweet was the entire squad at his disposal.

Honestly, you can tell Ange is toast when people stretch reality so far it makes interdimensional travel possible

Cheers GIF

That was your mates signing that was.
:ange-arms2:
I really don't care which we go lol I've got no affiliation with Ange.

I just question some of the overly negative stuff I see on here. He did win us a European cup and gave us our first taste of success in 17 years. I do have respect for the man which clearly most on here don't have.

My preference is we still replace him but I find Frank underwhelming so I'm quite 50/50 on what we do now. My big hope is we just make the decision soon and get on with it.

We won a European cup. You left that bit out.

I loved winning a cup but you cannot seriously tell me that the Europa League win indicates a direction of travel but our league form somehow doesn't? The league is where we play most of our matches and forms the biggest body of work for us to judge. What in the league have you seen that says we won't be pissing around the bottom half again next season? I haven't seen anything that suggests that won't still be the case next year.

I'm sorry but this is bullshit. We're fucking Spurs, there is no other club of our size which would accept finishing 17th, 18 points behind Brentford then hide behind European competition being the reason. That's just a copout. Big clubs deal with being in Europe year in year out, it's a tragic excuse.

No one is saying we shouldnt have done better but your assumption is that Frank would have done is based on nothing.

I want a better manager
I don't want Frank because he has never proven himself to be a better manager.

these two things can exist

And let's be serious here.
What "accomplishment" had Ange "achieved" before coming to Spurs?
Serious question.
What even IS a trophy in Australia? I'd say utterly irrelevant. Like a non-league cup winning coach over here.
Treble with Celtic? Who cares. A cactus could do that.
He won the Asia Cup... which I am sure you will laugh at and degrade but when you consider the players he had at his disposal was a huge achievement. J League is very competitive but again, you will degrade this as micky mouse no doubt even though Japan regularly qualify for the World Cup Finals. Don't know much about A-League but I think you are belittling his achievements in Scotland a bit by saying a cactus could win the the treble there especially when you start your post with lets be serious here... just saying...

The 1st 10 games are gone now.
He will NEVER repeat that form.
It's not just Europe that made us so shit this season, it was headed this way last season and carried on EXACTLY how we expected.
The only way to get worse now is to get relegated.

Mate, again, this is a discussion about Ange vs Frank.

The latter is a completely unknown quantity for what we will be doing this coming season.
