My thoughts...

- Deal agreed with Frank
- Waiting for him and Ange to both get back from holiday
- Brentford speaking with replacements
- Romano will tweet something out by the weekend
- Announcements made by both Spurs and Brentford Monday / Tuesday next week.
48 hours later and nothing has changed my mind on this. Levy is likely battling away with Brentford over Frank's hefty release clause.

There comes a time when the opinion is so baseless in terms of any reality or facts that it becomes cult-like and delusional. We finished 17th. First season with no Europe it was fifth but it was a terrible end to the season. A year and a half of being bad in the league is a pretty big body of evidence. The case against is vibes and belief, that’s it.

Also when you post stuff like ‘I’m sticking with Angelos till the bitter end’ it absolutely sounds a bit cult of personalityish. Sorry. It sounds like you’re dedicated to and believe in the man rather than looking at his results. The amazing football you remember is such a tiny portion of his time in charge and it was right at the start.
The dismissive way in which people argue any criticism against him is very reminiscent of Trump supporters tbh. Searching for it to be anyone else's fault but his, blaming a medical department that never presided over an injury crisis of the magnitude Ange has suffered in both his seasons, whom were then replaced in the summer and apparently it's still their fault, blaming the coaching team as if Ange had no say in its assembly, blaming Lange for not identifying the right players to fit his... *ahem*... system... and Levy for not spending more, as if Ange hasn't personally signed off on the vast majority of our signings and put in phone calls to swing it to bring them here, blaming the players for individual errors and failing to follow Ange's instructions correctly, it's literally everyone else's fault we finished 17th apart from the man who's responsible for picking the tactics and lineup. He's only responsible when we win trophies, not any of the negative stuff.

I dont think that's ever a thing in reality. We used to have to be penny wise because of the lower revenue issues, pre-funding (land) for the stadium and training ground and clearing debt.

We've not been thrifty for a long time.

Larry David Larry David said literally none of this and just made an honest statement about his feelings.

Your insecurity in posting this massive screed in response to a post which never made any of the claims you alluded to is say more about you than him.

You tilting at windmills over an already won war. Very odd. Why can't you just accept that some peop genuinely want the manager to stay for their own reasons?

I've been following this thread pretty closely since Bilbao, and other than the bit about blaming Levy for not spending more (which has been relatively muted and is a sentiment shared by Ange In and Ange Out alike), I'm pretty sure basically no one has advanced a single one of these arguments in any significant way.

What the fuck are you talking about?

It's, dare I say, cult like :cautious:

Who are the Angein cultists vs the Angeouters, lets have a show of hands or some sort of list or something, I'm trying to see something...

Way too many subsets in there. I'm Ange Out but would not be dismayed if he stayed. Just as I would not be dismayed if Frank was announced.

I was however very strong in season that he should not be sacked unless we were in true threat of being relegated and while I'm very surprised Levy didn't pull the trigger I'm also very thankful because I truly believe we don't win the EL if he was sacked (and before the hate comes in NOT because he's a "genius" just because the focus would have changed in club/player priorities)
