No one says they haven't. Fans have the propensity to think that nothing happens unless it is public.

The club have increasingly squeezed out any leaks over the years, and people - especially in the summer window - will have to get used to the idea that hearing nothing doesn't mean people aren't doing anything.

In reality, we just haven't communicated anything publicly. Ange shouldn't be the last to find out either way, and has at least earned a holiday without work matters.
I agree.
We should get some sort of announcement in the coming days so they should have at least come to a solution by now.
Don't you think that they need to take the fans perspective into account and move as quickly as possible? Then again, so much money is in football, that is what they're focused on more, not the fans which are us, and that's been clear for a long time now.

Damaging our credibility if we have any left under tbe stewardship of Levy

I’m doing well as a manager why don’t I sign for the managers graveyard ( Ange fluke or not fluke depending on point of view excluded ) where the owner has no sense of decency.

Only my opinion but his behaviour disgusts me , every day I find Levy more repugnant.
All they have to do is issue a statement...

Yes we won a Trophy, I was at the parade got drunk for days partying, annoying all my friends, pissed off Woolwich fans & supporters but I've woken up thinking ok now what?!?!?! oh yeah welcome back to Spurs being Spurs innit...

Good post mate.

No idea what's going on,but the lack of noise is quite something.

The one thing that I do think might hold merit is that change might be afoot at the key decision making levels, hence the reported boardroom moves, but that's speculativeo on my part, over informed.
It's quite funny if in the end they're making all these changes, but the specific position that is critical will end up not changing. For me, that would be comical.

To me it's not about the fans soo much - I rarely come on this thread really...

This is about sending a message to potential players we want to sign, something about the SuperCup etc etc etc

The problem is that the 'fans perspective' is being represented as "we want to keep him" on one side, and "get rid" on the other. So any representation of indecision would be overall represent the fanbase to an extent.

There's never been much stopping the club from operating correctly in terms of emotion or sentimentality, although I expect some was present with Poch, so I can imagine they've made their decision and the fact we haven't heard is just due to the direction it is likely to go in

That's fair.

I honestly give the players more credit for achieving the EL trophy and CL more than Ange. They won in spite of him, and abandoned his principles in order to win.
I always give players more credit than a manager but then I'm an ex-player (non professional) & my godkids play in Sunday League under 16s and they just play but I digress...

Why sign for a club during a transfer window when there's no announcement about the manager while there's clearly noise also not addressing the potential final we are in???

You don't even need to be a player, imagine submitting a CV even as a caretaker to either us (with no post trophy win announcement) vs another club who has outlined their future?

I suppose the sentimentality in this instance would be our EL victory managed by Ange. They're the Ange ins

The logical aspect is Spurs having an abysmal, painful PL season in which losing becomes normalised and 17th place is the final position.
Those are the Ange outs.

Poch had one window without any transfers, and a couple poor windows too. Ange without a doubt has been backed in terms of cash spent, but players brought in haven't impressed enough, whether that's related to Ange himself or the players have been overrated; that's up to subjectivity and debate.

Any top quality players with ambition would easily hesitate to join us, despite our recent trophy success, fantastic training facilities and a beautiful stadium.

As long as there is an announcement within the week, you can only hope we can move quickly in the transfer market. Hopefully we are already talking to agents & players though it's frustrating to see the likes of United move in the market despite having a worse overall season than us. United are also a financial mess, though it probably means we're run way better.

Which is fine, but I'd love to hear anyone justify that by suggesting we looked like a good team throughout. Same with Ramos really - amazing we beat Chelsea of all teams, but it doesn't suddenly mean you're going to start playing well - which should be their primary concern.

That is what worries me -- people seem to be that infatuated by the EL win that they are accepting mediocrity in the league. It was a season in the PL not far off the lowest ebb Everton have had in recent years, and at least they had points deductions and fat frank to blame it on.

I can count more players that look to have declined under him than have improved. Have any improved? Can't measure new signings either way.

We are 1000000% better run business wise than That shit team we beat in a final, we also beat the shit out them for years ;)

I understand 'it's just Spurs Lads' but I lived through the following players :-
  • Gazza
  • Linekar
  • Dembele
  • Modric
  • Kane
  • Berbatov
  • Bale
  • Klinsmann
  • Sheringham
  • Davids
  • VDV (original)
  • Etc etc etc
We can't fukk this up but hey It's Spurs Lads

The fact that we can spend £270mil without falling foul of PSR , I call bullshit on that one , the reason Levy is saying we need to sell before we can buy is he doesn't want other clubs thinking he'll pay top dollar for players we want
We can spend that without falling foul of PSR, doesn't necessarily mean the club has that much money available, or that we would spend it of we do...

Like the maximum contactless payment with a debit card being £100, doesn't mean much if you only have a fiver in the bank...

Or real estate to pay for.

All fantastic points.

My major concern is his player management.

Some Spurs fans have the excuses ready to defend Ange, such as us sacking the medical stuff because they were at fault for countless injuries which led up to Micky & Romero reinjuring themselves against Chelsea.

However, Ange should also be held responsible as he should have enough experience to see a players physical condition, and should at least see them take part in a short amount of rigorous training such as some short sprints to recognise their condition.

For the medical staff to be employed, but be that incompetent doesn't make all much sense to me either, they are professionals - not amateurs unless they were inside agents from Woolwich.
