I doubt we've "made no contact" with Frank. The Guardian reported earlier we've already spoken via intermediaries.

I'm not 100% convinced that Frank is the guy, but I'd certainly prefer him over Carrick or Silva.

I like the idea of Frank. I think we'll be hard to beat under him he'll do his homework in regards to what we do and what the opposition do and I think he'll make us a better team. Hopefully brings mbeumo with him.

Looking at it now, I guess Mase leaving was the first sign that Ange was gone.

He was obviously around and not on holiday to talk to WBA and do all their press stuff. Makes me wonder if he would have known Ange was gone, and that it had been communicated that he wouldn't be anywhere near a candidate to be promoted to the top job. Otherwise, you wouldn't doubt that he'd have delayed on WBA if he felt he had a chance.

The statement Ange put out also looked very far from something he chucked together in half a day, and it didn't read as reactive as you'd expect if it was sudden news.

So my feeling is that, internally, it must have been known for maybe a week what was happening.

Next week? What a joke

Yeah, this has pissed me off a bit. I thought the reason we took so fucking long to announce his departure was because we've been working on getting in a replacement.

If Ornstein is right (and he's a very reliable journo), we haven't made contact! All the big clubs are preparing for next season and signing players. We've wasted two weeks since the parade. Not good enough at all.

If we are at the "considering" stage still (which kinda boggles my mind so I don't think it can be true), then we should at least be including the likes of Glasner, Xavi, Hoeness etc? You know, casting a wider net than just mid-table PL sides with managers that haven't won anything yet.

It's a very short shortlist if we're only looking at Frank and Silva.

Rather Frank than Silva, I'm okay with Frank...I've accepted that the board want to run this club like Harrods Brentford as opposed to trying to compete to win so Frank will do I suppose
