I have mixed emotions on this. He gave 99% of us our greatest day and I was stuck between giving him the start of the season to see if the Europa gave us the spark to kick on or get rid. The league form can’t be ignored. My biggest issue is who we replace him with. Frank will get my support obviously if it’s him but I don’t see it moving forward. I feel it’s a sideways step.

I’m actually a bit deflated tonight even though I knew it was coming and probably had to be done.

Correct decision and glad its been made now and not after being humped by Burnley in October.
Forever grateful for Bilbao but the league form was shocking.

Just saw on Sky News that ange is only the 3rd manager in the clubs entire history to win a European trophy. That's alot of manager that's failed over 100 years plus

Crazy.

I doubt he's that much fussed going out as a legend tbh , was only ever gonna be downhill from Bilbao for him or anyone else

Bit surprised to see that everyone seems to be on board with the decision to sack him. I liked the bloke and thought he played good football. The league season has been dreadful but I thought the context was obvious. He came from a 41 game season last year finishing within 2 points of top 4 to playing a 60 game season with Solanke and a couple new kids as reinforcements. The injuries and the proceeding dip in performance seemed pretty expected. The actual finish sort of vindicates it enough where I thought he deserved a fair crack with enough reinforcements this time around. Its completely normal to me that a squad having to play 50% more games will suffer if they dont recruit well.
No idea if there were other issues but I was surprised so I wanted to see how the Spurs fans felt and the reaction seems to just confuse me that bit more.

Your lot put a combined 15 goals past us! Our defending was tragic under Ange. It was only because he abandoned his ways and played the Ange wall that we actually won. And it wasn't a pretty game let's be honest. We could barely string two passes together.

I'll always be grateful for the trophy but this is very much the right decision.
