gotta give him a chance, watch them videos on youtube of him talking tactics, hes a football scientist compared to the caveman we just had, you'd never see postecoglou doing that as he knows he would be ridiculed.

it seems like its between silva and frank now.....the manager market is a strange one, theres no one that is clear out there as the next big thing.
I don’t doubt his managerial ability at all, I have seen his Brentford team a few times and always thought they were well organised.

My concern really stems from the reasoning behind his appointment and how that will influence his ability to manage effectively in this structure.

If he is being hired because Levy thinks he will push us onwards and have us challenging for CL places and more trophies then ok.

But my suspicion is that the motivation behind hiring him has nothing to do with either of those things and is purely financial and because he will be easy to mold under the imposed rules of our ownership.

And that is the thing for me that doesn’t inspire confidence.

Frank is going to have one hell of a job on his hands that’s for sure. A split fanbase, a club who has just won a trophy, likely walking into a dressing room of unhappy players because they seem like they wanted Ange to stay and expectations that are higher than usual from everyone in and around the club and then dealing with Levy on top of that.

If he manages to navigate that then he will have earned the job quite frankly.

Depends who walks in, a manager with emotional intelligence and charisma will win the vast majority of them over.

As much as they all loved Ange they will get over it, they're not children, players ultimately are there to serve themselves at the end of the day.

Nah, it will depend on the way they ask them to play and their first 5-6 results

The more respected candidates with a history of winning would get more patience from players because they know they’ve won things to back them up,

Frank will come in and be friendly but if it doesn’t start well, he will be in trouble. Nuno pt2 very much on the cards. He was a lovely man btw

who would you want?

Your first line is totally wrong do you not remember him mumbling and staring at the floor?.
Rest is pretty good
Or shitting on the fans on more than one occasion, including the infamous ear cup and lying about it afterwards.

He's an obnoxious, rude, self-obsessed, clueless sack of dung who talks utter dross every time he opens his gob.

I don't thank him for nothing and I don't wish him well in his next job. Good friggin riddance.

There's no good time to part company with a manager - and it maybe that Ange had both a big personality and had won with the players the Europa League which is something all the players will have on their CV as a major event, and for some that will be their biggest achievement,

Whilst our league form, and acknowledging the effect of injuries such as rarely having our best two CB's playing together, meant a parting of the ways was probably inevitable, its clear from social media posts that a large number of the players are sending him messages of thanks and good will. And not just the ones we might have expected such as Romero - Van de Ven, Danso (who only joined in January so who only worked with Ange for 6 months), Richarlison, Bergvall, Porro and Solanke which I have seen, and I understand from other sites that Bentancur, Kulusevski and Johnson, and no doubt others. It reflects well on them all that the squad had developed a sense of camaraderie and togetherness which will serve us well next season if the new manager can leverage it.

So I'm hoping whoever comes in as manager has a big personality to lift the players and impress them with his tactics and training. That way we can progress
The Blob is welcome to take most of that squad with him on his way out.

Also I legit think if we turned in a performance in the final league game of the season against Brighton and won that game it'd really have given Levy food for thought but instead we got humiliated and I'm sure he knew then there was no letting this guy have another season.

Levy's face at fulltime after Brighton, he looked fucking furious.

There are pictures doing the rounds, and honestly never seen him look like that in 20+ years.

I reckon he was so angry because it's been a shocking season, with many many defeats at home and away, but particularly at home.

And I reckon Levy felt all the fantastic momentum and goodwill and happy feeling went up in smoke during that Brighton game, and he was disgusted by the players just dialing it in, in front of the home fans days after winning a major trophy.

I am sure he felt it was a sign of things to continue next seaosn, and it showed him that the trophy was in isolation, and our league form would continue to be dire under Ange.

Hard to say really because the market is so thin but my top two picks would be Glasner or Xavi, both have CL experience and play expansive football.
i feel like xavi would be a huge gamble, not sure we are in the position to be gambling right now. he could go on to be a top manager, but i think we need someone far safer. postecoglou has done us serious damage, 17th is a disgrace, the players have been playing caveman kamikaze football for two years.

Johnson, Bergvall and Gray were all heavily recruited by Brentford but ultimately they all decided they weren’t excited to work with Frank. Now he’s following them here like they can’t get away from him.
What a load of story-rewriting bollocks.

Johnson and Gray picked Spurs over Brentford cause we're a bigger club and pay them higher wages. Simple as.

Bergvall was between Barca and us.

The Brighton loss is a strange stick to hit Ange with.

What were people expecting after the emergydraining EL-win, travel from Spain back and two days of partying?

Of course I'll get behind the next guy, whoever it is, goes without saying. Just fed up with the upheaval and having the feeling that we'll be going through it all again in 18 months time!

I've a real issue with all these players going out twerking for Ange now he's gone. Yous didn't turn up until last few games of the season! If you loved him so much, why didn't you perform for him?? Get in the sea.
