Scraped a cup win despite being dogshit all season and now crying over Ange.

Deep down I'm sure no player is happy losing 22 league games and once the gloss of the cup win wears off and they see what it's like training under a proper manager again, Ange will be quickly forgotten.
 
Incredible servant and so glad he finally got that trophy and as captain too.

But we have to be wise here. My heart says we should keep him, maybe frank will find a role for him as a second striker or inside forward and that will reinvigorate him for a year or 2. I found it awfully difficult to watch him hung out wide on the touchline under ange and found it a hard watch because he's not cut out for that.

Second striker in a 2 up top formation (352, 442) or an inside forward in a 433 he could do well in.

Having said that my head is saying to sell now whilst we can get a fee and potentially still a large fee to Saudi and reinvest in a mitoma or eze.

One big reason for the drop off explained very simply, right there ^

Also, playing Centre left v left centre @ 32 was and is a bit of a difference in regards to where you are starting from and having the final impact from.

The question for me is not if Son is finished, it’s how do you get the best from him with the players around him…
 
theres no doubt that the last two years have not helped son at all, but he is done now, his body has lost the sharpness he needed to compete at this level. he needs to go to a slower league where its a lot slower now, hed still be decent for a couple years then.

anyone who thinks he will rekindle the form from four to five years ago with a new manager and a proper football setup is kidding themselves.
