Pretty moved by the players massages to Ange.

It was literally the exact same type of game we had played all season and the same type of result against any halfway organised team with technical quality.

We were shite in Bilbao .. that myth needs to end, it was two shite teams playing truly dreadful football which included totally missing out all the basics of the sport.

You know I love you but damn, you are so fucking insecure it continually surprises me.

The last game of the season meant shit.

We weren't "shite" in Bilbao - we played with zero creative options in midfield and shut United out for 80 minutes and if Solanke just takes an averagely decent touch we win that 2-0. It was not "shite". It was a very good team defensive display. And further statistical proof that when our back 5 start we are very hard to beat.

What matters is we won the game we absolutely had to win. Yay!

What matters is 22 defeats in the league. Not good enough.

He's gone. The war is over. Focus on what matters NEXT - choosing a decent manager and SIGNING SOME FUCKING QUALITY

We have a Super Cup to play in a few months time. We all know our squad is nowhere near it right now. Can't we just focus on that?

His whole strategy is to try & strike gold on the cheap, like he did with Poch and failed spectacularly with the Blob (despite that fluke trophy).
Imagine living in some bizarro realm where winning a major trophy is considered failing spectacularly, yet winning nothing and shitting the bed whenever there was a genuine opportunity to do so is some great success.

Absolute tinpot loser mentality lmao.

Imagine living in some bizarro realm where losing 34 PL games out of 76, conceding 126 goals across two league seasons, picking up 78 points out of a possible 198, being humiliated in all London derbies bar Spam, being the laughing stock of world football, nearly losing to Coventry and friggin Tamworth etc etc...but somehow winning a 2nd-tier competition beating underwhelming opponents by playing peak Tony Pulis football...is something worth celebrating like a World Cup win and worthy of getting a 3rd season at the helm.

Absolute tinpot loser mentality. Nothing to lmao such is the embarrassment I feel to have those people amongst our fanbase.

Wow... you're a bit of a revolting sexist cunt then aren't you?

Not that much of a surprise really though
The king of outrageous shortcuts strikes again.

If I'd said "when you're dying of thirst, even dog piss tastes like champagne", surely you'd have called me a threat to the environment and an animal abuser.

What an embarrassing post, I'd go hide under a rock for a month after that.

Let's just go back to what you said:

They didn't finish bottom half - they finished top half. And they happened to be the reigning league champions.

Ron Saunders won the league, then quit half way through the next season. Tony Barton took over (again half way through the season) and won the European cup. The then won the Super Cup.

Honest to god you've not looked up any of the supporting evidence for your point here, so maybe you should have followed your own advice and "look up Aston Villa" :ange-facepalm:

Apologies for forgetting 11th was top half back then. My point is it really doesn't matter to me whether we finish 10th or 17th. I get that top half means more to some.

My point was Villa finished 11th under Tony Barton who stayed and won the Super Cup and then also finished 6th the next season. In other words, I would have backed any manager who wins in Europe at the detriment of the league to stay and have a better league season the season after.

It's just not uncommon for sides who qualify for Europe regularly to have the odd off seasons in the league. I don't think it demands a change of manager unless the relegation form continues at the start of the next season.

I would have said the same for Poch when he was still in the CL or even Ranieri at Leicester. Too often the board sack the manager and don't sack themselves for poor player recruitment. Changing the manager prematurely doesn't guarantee safety.

Harsh methinks. Denigrating an actual meaningful trophy win - our biggest since 1991 and arguably since 1984 - is curious. We’re not serial PL or CL winners so I’m not quite sure what you expect. We’ve seen decades of bottling finals and semi finals. When we won in Bilbao, were you celebrating like crazy, alongside 100s of 1000s of fans around the world, or were you sitting there tutting saying that things aren’t good enough? There’s a clear reason why the league campaign collapsed, namely injuries and a thin squad. That’s not on Ange. It’s the ENIC effect seen over and over again. No manager under them has been able to deliver a strong league campaign and silverware. It’s just unrealistic and severely misguided to think we should in DL’s tight environment. The real miracle for me is how Ange kept a young, depleted and struggling squad together, week after week, and still maintained a laser focus on winning something as big as anything most fans have known in their lifetime, despite all the challenges, flack and negativity both inside and outside of the club. That is leadership - winning leadership - and the statements being released by our top players, from VDV to Bergvall to Madders, Sonny and the rest, would appear to back that up.

No. I'd think that was fine but If I'd posted this:

We've all brought home a fatty pretending she was a babe.

I'd then think this:

You're free to delete it mate. Its entirely your bag
