They could do what they did with Hojbjerg. Get him to sign a one-year extension and then loan with obligation.Article is bobbins.....
His contract ends next summer. Loan w/obligation isn't applicable.

Not for me, not at that level. I wasn't disappointed when man U were getting him on the reported deal
I reckon he will go there but the new mob are not giving out the same dealsDon’t get your hopes up with Mbeumo. United will smash us out the water with wages. As much as they’re in the shit like us, they’re still a huge team.
No chance he joins Spurs, regardless of Frank trying to sway him.
See this more often now though. Likely has a bigger loan fee included, and then an agreed transfer fee. Gets his wages off our books earlier and a nice fee in.Article is bobbins.....

They’ll still give him £200k a week, more than we would. United are a massive pull for any player, and African players have always had a draw to Utd.I reckon he will go there but the new mob are not giving out the same deals

Therein lies the problem. The fact that we can’t pay one of the top performing goal scorers in the league 200k when we have let Kane go, and Sonny is maybe a spent force shows something is deeply wrong at this club. They’ll still give him £200k a week, more than we would. United are a massive pull for any player, and African players have always had a draw to Utd.
If we were to offer him a similar wage I still think he’d choose Utd, regardless of Champions League.

I suppose in that context it's a deferred payment.....
If I was the oppo club I'd still hold out for a no strings loan tho....... Thus paying the wages but no fee.
It is literally all it does.Mate.... Offer your window.... You can't slag off others and not offer your opinion... So.. Ffs... What would you do?

According to this man U have more wiggle room than reported. Especially if they sell garnatcho and rashford.ManU close to having ffp issues and have yet to offload Rashford (wages £350k pw) who was on loan at Villa but without CL they cannot afford him so he's back at ManU, Anthony is on loan at Betis but they are not known for paying high wages so to make deal permanently bound to mean manU subsiding the move. A couple of other high earners to consider
Not sure ManU will be keen on paying anything like £200k pw with no CL income, certainly until they offload their high earners.
