I don’t. Give me a clue.
I remember who won the 1984 UEFA Cup though.
I googled it. Was the grobelar wobbly legs final.
Very memorable. Just not memorable enough to remember exactly what year.

Imagine if we come 17th but win the Champions leagueWell, quite. If we need to write off Thomas Frank's first season (or Martinez or whoever we get) because he needs to find his feet/the league is stronger now/we have champions League football/insert excuse here, then why not just keep Postecoglou?
We could always have fired him after he'd got 2 points from 8 games or whatever, and got a new guy in for half a season. He'd be bound to improve us, and then he get a proper run-up to his first full year, with a whole transfer window, and pre-season, and everything.
I mean poor old Thomas Frank isn't even going to get a full pre-season, and we've yet to buy anyone in the transfer window either. Still, that's more handy excuses should he fail to live up to expectations next season.
Correct. Proven from Season 1 episode 11.Because Ange supporters, have been told repeatedly that Postecoglou is a pub team manager, who is way out of his depth in the Premier League.
Most don't really know. I'd rather not know if our next manager is good or not than know, unequivocally that the one we have is terrible and likely to send us down given enough time. We've also been told that Thomas Frank is a "proper" manager, so it's not unreasonable to expect him to outperform Ange is it?
I don't think the most vociferous Poch fans thought he'd be at Spurs for 5 years, take us to 2 title attempts and a champions league final. For the record, I'd be fairly happy with the scenario you've outlined above, albeit pretty astonished too. I personally don't think Frank will do anywhere near that well.
I'm not sure how Daniel Levy, would feel about it though.
What does that achieve exactly? We could always have fired him after he'd got 2 points from 8 games or whatever, and got a new guy in for half a season. He'd be bound to improve us, and then he get a proper run-up to his first full year, with a whole transfer window, and pre-season, and everything.
I've said it elsewhere but I'd take 18th, if it meant winning the Champions League.
If I was Frank and I wanted him then I would be making it part of the deal for me coming. The message that would send to the players, backroom staff and fans would be monumental.
If the game is about the tiniest fractions and margins, then this would surely get Frank off to the best possible start.
10 mil for Frank
60 mil for Mbuemo plus wages.
£70 million to give the club, the players the staff and the fans a massive shit in the arm.
I mean we spanked 50 mill on Richarlison and 65 on Solanke.
Plus £40 million for Gray!
But 19th a bridge too far?I've said it elsewhere but I'd take 18th, if it meant winning the Champions League.
There are red lines, one should never cross.I've said it elsewhere but I'd take 18th, if it meant winning the Champions League.
I haven't watched much of the bees, is this guy any good? European experience?
Again, we are hiring managers from lower clubs! I know they finished above us but you know what I mean....
Is he the one who keeps chewing? Hope he stops...
At least Ange was winning cups everywhere, how about this guy?
61 points and finished 8th. Not great. What is success though? No one remembers who finished second in the league in 1984 , but we all know who won the European Cup.......
It would have rewarded one of our most successful ever managers, with the chance to improve upon his first two seasons. That's reason enough for me.What does that achieve exactly?
You say we havent signed anyone yet, the window doesn't even open for another week. You say Frank won't get a full preseason, but that hasn't even started yet either. I'm not sure how doing a midseason fire and hire is an improvement?
I think it will happen .. if I end up having thought wrong and just Mr Frank arrives, that's okay tooIf I was Frank and I wanted him then I would be making it part of the deal for me coming.
Whatever. You are the weirdest Levy apologist on here. What will you do when he’s gone? I suspect you’ll leave this club when Daniel does.
Let’s just hope Frank is smart enough not to go along with their nonsense this summer.
I thought about this and I said we need a coach who has it but is it really that important for a manager.I haven't watched much of the bees, is this guy any good? European experience?

apart from the first 10 matches we averaged less than a 1.5pts per game. That was the point when people seemed to have worked us out and saw that we could be got at on the break since when we lost possession we were a bit vulnerable as most likely our wingbacks were nowhere.but a "fat Aussie fraud" got us 5th in his very first season in the Premier League,
I've said it elsewhere but I'd take 18th, if it meant winning the Champions League.

'Any offer from Spurs for Frank should be a serious one'
Latest from Sky Sports News' Lyall Thomas:
Brentford are prepared to listen to offers from Tottenham for head coach Thomas Frank, who would be interested in speaking to Spurs if given permission.
Although Brentford do not wish to stand in his way if he wishes to move to a bigger club, they do not plan to let him go on the cheap.
They therefore expect any offer from Spurs to be a serious one.
Frank has a release clause in his contract. It is widely being reported to be in the region of £10m.
