Scared Still Waiting GIF by Looney Tunes

"By the weekend"

IMO Frank is several levels above Arteta as a coach.

By rights Arteta should still be an assistant learning the ropes. If he was a legit elite player like Xavi, Zidane, or Xabi Alonso then you could justify him making the jump that early but he wasn’t.
I hate Arteta but he's one of the best in the league. Don't think we can say that about Frank yet. Until he proves himself at a bigger club like Spurs then he is no better than the likes of Iraola or Silva. Frank would be behind Emery, Howe and Glasner for me too. This Spurs job is a huge step for him and he needs to improve and adapt to show he can handle it.

"By the weekend"
I'd like to think he has already unofficially started and is working on targets.

The problem is spurs are trying to take almost the entire backroom team with him and for some reason its all being done in one deal. I thought we could make Frank official and then start poaching the staff but looks like its all getting done in the same deal.

Top tactician, goofy loser of a person.
yeah that is it. And I hate his style. Only siging players who are bigger than 6 foot and then playing long ball despite having technical players. having the "Unamed sportsperson" taking long throw ins against PSG was just embarrassing.

But the cunt has them winning lots of games. They take every inch. The dark arts. He's like a mixture between Simeone and Pulis and its annoyingly effective!

Simeone is a deadly serious stone-cold winner and their football is an expression of his deepest convictions.

Arteta is a goof and a clown who has come to be sort of play-acting an unnatural way of thinking about football that he thinks is super clever.

There's something fundamentally silly about the whole project, and the stink of a nearly team is now upon them.

Shouldn't he do better than Ange's 5th in season 1?
We should certainly expect Frank to do better than Ange's decreasing results in every quarter of his reign, such as the near entire season of relegation form that's just ended. My guess is that Frank will do better even if he has to do it with Ange's players.

I'm very 'meh' about this appointment but that doesn't mean it might not turn out to be a good one.

We'll be more solid for sure, which may be enough short-term but I highly doubt he'd be hired by rival clubs and can't help but think this is a sign of the club's lack of ambition.
Why just short term?

Solidity is what you build from. Every team challenging at the top has that solidity. Stopping goals is every bit as important as scoring them, as it is what makes the difference in those tight games against other challengers.

As the old saying goes, forwards win games, but defences win titles.
