If you enjoy what you’re doing, you don’t lose your hair. He’s got a bald head. Guardiola doesn’t enjoy football.”

And Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny are movie star rich, not football owner hedge fund rich.

TBF Ryan has made a fortune from Mint Mobile and Aviator Gin, so he has a bit knocking around, but I doubt his mrs or his accountant (certainly not the football league) would let him fund Grealish personally.

I certainly don't think Jack would last very long in that lifestyle. People forget it is still a Non-League team surviving off what were 'ok' facilities back in the old Division Two. They don't have a training ground and rotate around different facilities, including those from local amateur clubs. It would be an insurmountable culture shock coming from the Etihad campus.

West Ham's players would see it as a step up, though.

City starting Cheriki, Foden, Doku, Reijnders, Ake, Savinho, Marmoush in their CWC game.

And can still have a bench like this:

Fucking hell.

People usually fail to see the criticisms in other big squads like City/Chelsea though.

GK: Ederson, Ortega, Betinelli
CB: Dias, Khusanov, Reis, Akanji, Stones, Ake
LB: Gvardiol, Ait-Nouri
RB: Rico Lewis

CM: Rodri, Reijnders, Gonzales, Nunes, Kovacic, Gundogan, Silva, McAtee, Echeverri, O'Reilly
LW: Doku, Grealish
RW: Foden, Savinho, Cherki, Bobb
ST: Haaland, Marmoush

People would be having a fit over the quality and depth in some of those positions if it were Spurs

Interesting to see what happens next….

Pep is of course obnoxious about everything, but it is genuinely a difficult to manage headache when you have more players than can play, and yet with never-ending competition inflation for top clubs (plus the nature of 5-subs football which was supposed to be temporary but has now just been accepted), a team with ambition kind of has no choice but to saddle their manager with an unhappy dressing room.

It sucks that football doesn't have leadership that's thoughtful about these issues and empowered to deal with them.

ALL OF THAT SAID, fuck off Pep.

For all the money being tossed about I'm not sure there's that much star power kicking around the whole EPL atm; let alone at one club.

There's definitely something to that.

Manager-core five subs pressball has raised the level of the league, these teams would beat those teams, but it does feel like it has drained some of the independence and uniqueness out of players that leads to them being exciting stars.

Pep dreams of 11 Iniesta's, but when you start drifting towards a league of 220 Iniesta's it becomes less charming.

Right, I'm getting really pissed off now. Man City's 115 breaches.
The longer this goes on, the more we (the fans) are going to have to pay for it. Apparently, their lead lawyer Lord Pannick, is charging £5,000 an hour for his services - and that's just the tip of the iceberg. When it's eventually settled, the Premier League will doubtless have to pay some of the costs, even if they win (!), which they will then pass on to the clubs - THAT'S US THE FANS!
So, we'll all be paying for City cheating their way to multiple trophies, in addition to the way they've skewed the league, cunts.
