I actually hope Brentford get the right guy in and they continue to survive, I like the story of the club and what Frank has done there, would be a shame to see them go back down. Also its a nice easy away game logistically for the team.

Is it a done deal? Still no official news.
And are you saying I'm flighty?

I tried to log into SC recently, with my email address (which I probably posted some kind of hello and very little a decade ago), with the right password etc. and the site no longer loads when I try to access.

So I think I might be banned on SC for thoughtcrime.

It happened on COYS because I didn't post, but it had weird rules about what you could post - it had to be original, and not spam, and couldn't offend anyone or be negative, and had to be a certain rate of posts per day. It felt like a stressful job and sometimes there was nothing to say, so I fell foul of the "culling" rules:

The amount of rules on there are insane. It's almost like they dont want you to post and it is an inconvenience for them. Very strange.

I can't stand the cunt..... Everything about the way he posts - the constant stream of nothing-burger double-speak, the milking of the most minor of details, the blind reverence he receives from his virgin acolytes, the "here we go" shtick (this in particular! Nggghhhh cunt!!!) - makes my skin crawl.
Transfer season and the tits that feed are incredibly annoying. Do my best to ignore it.

We'll know who we've signed when we've signed them. What's the point of speculating on whom is talking to whom? Utterly pointless shite.

Bringing an outside voice and perspective to their dressing room would be healthy for that club, I think.

It can't just be the same 10-12 people between players, coaches and staff driving the club forever.

Frank clearly realized it was time.
I don't remember exactly who said it, but I remember reading that the ideal life cycle of a team+coaching setup combo is five years give or take. And then you need to shake things up in some way. Either by a big clear out in players or by replacing parts of or the entire coaching setup.

Given last season this bloke seems an equally important hire

"Haslam is Brentford’s head of athletic performance and has worked for the club for more than a decade across two spells. Newton, the first team analyst, has been with the club since 2019."

Chris Haslam

Haslam has worked for Brentford for over 10 years across two different spells, either side of a short stint at Wigan Athletic. Brentford were in League One when Haslam first joined the club and he has played a major role in their journey up the divisions.

He initially joined the Bees in 2010 and became their head of conditioning from 2011, joining the Latics three years later. Haslam returned after 12 months to work with the under-21s before he was promoted to head of athletic performance across the first-team and B team. Haslam’s role covers physical performance and sports science.

He is in constant communication with Frank on a matchday, and often acts as a liaison between the head coach and the fourth official.

Haslam has worked with the Danish men’s national team too, and was part of their backroom staff at last summer’s European Championship.

Someone else we needed to upgrade on our set piece skills on

I'm hopeful that Mat Wells will stay on coaching staff - was possibly the best Spurs u18 coach a decade ago (after being a Nike coach) with almost zero losses and a almost all wins with the u18 side at about same time Justin Cochrane was Spurs u16 coach so they will know each other well. Wells a very talented coach.

Wells was poached by Scott Parker after he left as coach and went on to be Asst Manager at both Bournemouth and Bruges with Parker, before returning to Spurs when Conte left and was Ange's no 2. Matt Wells is also Cliff Jones grandson
