We need a player on the left who is ready to start - Son is sadly finished as a player who can manage playing midweek and weekend, and may well be a bench player able to do 45 mins next season.

Solomon is fine for a bottom half of PL team/top of Championship and at age 25 is not going to improve dramatically but that's not what Spurs want to be, so he's not a player Spurs should be looking to retain.

Tel has not shown much signs of progress in the half season he has been at Spurs, he still looks very raw and not showing signs of being the LW player (nor striker) who is a threat to the opposition - unlike Bergvall who by Christmas was becoming a regular first team player, looking very good and comparable with more experienced players and now towards end of his first season as a starting candidate for Spurs on merit.

So Tel is not the starting level we want (he's scored 1 penalty not earned by him and a goal he didn't know about as a Johnson cross him him and bounced into goal so productivity almost zero so far) - he might get there but he may not. At the moment at best he's a bench option and I'd much prefer he was not that as that blocks Moore's first team chances, and he's looked more threatening in first team at age 17 than Tel aged 20.

Odobert has shown more in a handful of games despite his injury, than Tel in half a season, so they are not comparable players although a similar age.

I don't see the use in paying a fee for Tel and his higher wages over Solomon. Neither of them are ideal but there's no point just wasting money. Even if we sell Solomon for say £20m, we're still going to need to add to that for Tel who seems to have a quality similar on the pitch at best.

Mickey Moore should really be ahead of Solomon, Telefono, Richarlison, Werner, Bob from the nag's head e.t.c.

Next season is massive for him. It's very obvious from the noise outside of the club, let alone inside, that his ability and ceiling are right up there

Still, our youth need to, nay have to play or they will just rot away like so many before them

Harry Kane is a great example of this. Soldado and Adebayor out injured, Kane smashes it in the very much second rate at the time Europa League. Now he is our top goal scorer

It could have so easily been so so different

Mikey Moore become 18 in August (3 months time). He's played more than I expected this season and looked good - but although he is physically good for his age, no surprise he has yet to put on as much muscle development as most youngsters do typically between ages of 18 and 21, and this season he is sometimes being pushed off the ball by opposition players so not as effective as he will become.

So whilst I hope he's give more playing time next season (25/26), I don't think he will be physically ready to be a regular starter at the start of next season although technically he certainly looks good - IMO his real break out season will be 26/27 when he's aged 19 and playing more regularly although it might come before the end of 25/26 .

Just to put that into context Harry Kane was almost 21 when Sherwood gave him his first PL start and over 21 when he became a regular starter under Poch. Of our leading players on loan Alfie Devine is aged 20, just short of becoming 21 and Jamie Donley a few months younger than Devine, Gray and Bergvall both 18 and a half when joining Spurs - the latter becoming a semi regular starter when aged 19. So Moore is ahead of them already having started a couple of games in PL already, but I'd urge caution in expecting too rapid a rise to becoming a regular starter

Footballers get married so much younger than average people. Obviously due to having a few shekels and the ladies wanting some of that / see security with it. Sad.
In the olden days everybody got married in their teens or early twenties.

They’re not the smartest lads. Maybe they think the girls will leave them if they don’t put a ring on it.

They won’t.

It’ll most likely just be because they can afford to early. Most people can’t afford a nice wedding when they’re that young and they wait till their life has stability and they have disposable income.

These guys have stability and disposable income at 18.
