Was having a think earlier about Eze and I’m not sure where he plays in a Thomas Frank team other than number 10.

Can’t see him wide left in a front 3, cause Frank seems to like proper pace and more inside forward type players, which isn’t Eze’s game.

And I don’t see Frank playing 2 number 10’s in a midfield 3 like Ange done with Maddison and Kulusevski. His system is far too structured and pragmatic for that most of the time (not saying that’s a bad thing).

So do we really need 3 top players who’ll all want to play every week in Maddison, Kulu and Eze vying for one position? Especially when we’ve got other gaping holes in the squad that need filled.

If one of them was to leave then it’s a different story. FWIW, I’d happily sell Kulu to get Eze in, I wonder if Kulu will be a great fit in a Frank team, I’ve never been totally sold on him as a number 10, and he definitely ain’t quick enough to play right of a front 3 under Frank.

I just don’t see how you keep the 3 of them happy in a more structured system that we’re expecting from Frank. They’d be an amazing 3 to rotate in the two 10’s under Ange, but I think one has to go before you sign him for Frank.
Sell. Kulu.

Its a massive issue for us and already we won't be able to fill all our spots in CL because of it so some senior players won't be registered for that competition. PL rules are different so we aren't as bad for that but it's a real issue for us in Europe so the more players we can sign who are HG the better
We can still name about 24 players for CL. Just means some first team squad plauers might not get a space

Why do people keep mentioning Kyle Walker Peters? He’s so bang average at best! Why don’t we sign Sessegnon back too! Sign a player because he’s club trained even though he’s not good is bonkers. The same people who mention this moan about how our squad is shit when we have injuries and have to play these types.
100% - keep reading ‘get him cos he’s cheap’ then moaning we don’t spend enough money on quality players!

He’s CT on a free transfer with a wage of less than 20K per week - Why wouldn’t Levy be interested?!? You think Levy is going to pay to sign quality as our 4th/5th choice fullback?!? 🤣

Levy OUT!

Mbuemo is quality, has a little bit of Salah in his efficiency and keeps improving. But seems we are just being used by Brentford to squeeze a higher fee from Utd, who no doubt can offer higher wages. We will pick up someone from what's left when the higher wage paying clubs have chosen.

7 PL goals. He was dreadful and ineffective.

Would take 8M and it also frees up 10M in wages so that’s 18M total

The only criteria is goals across all competitions in matches he was chosen to play in. And he played a lot of minutes. Its not up to you to pick and choose one set of data suiting your agenda.

Son scored and created assists in most of competitions Spurs played in, including EL, which if you might recall we won and gives us a platform to build from. If he had not played those other matches he could well have been able to play more and score in PL.

One fundamental reason why spurs struggled with this season (24/25) was playing 60 games in the season rather than the 40 odd in the previous season - with a consequent need to play both weekend and midweek. That's why all players but one could only manage to play LESS than 40 matches in 24/25 as the frequency of playing took it out of them.

Son played a decent part in 24/25, if he stays at Spurs next season I think he will largely only be able to play once a week to generate goals and assists. If we get a decent offer (and your suggestion of 8m is a long way below his worth) then it - and as players have agency makes sense for all for him to move on to play in a less intense league than Spurs play in, allowing Spurs to find a decent forward to replace him and get the 24 or so goal involvements which Son got in 24/25 which FEW players do as you ought to be aware of..

But if we only get offers of 8m, he's likely to stay.
