GREAT POINT BUT WHY DIDN'T YOU MAKE TO THIS POST:

WHICH PRECEDED AND CAUSED THE RESPONSE YOU FOR SOME REASON DECIDED TO GET ANGRY ABOUT?

Delighted that we have finally brought in a proper manager and a proper backroom staff.

It makes me wonder just what the club was doing 2 years ago when we hired Ange and then hired a bunch of crap coaches, some of us highlighted it as far back as October 2023 that it looked like a potential issue with our structure.

I have absolutely no doubts that the coaching the players have been receiving the last two years has been a mess.

It's been evident all over the pitch.

Interesting that we retained a couple of coaches in Wells and Burch, I am guessing we were impressed with them and decided they weren't blaggers like the others.

Although in saying that, maybe we've been too harsh on the backroom staff under Ange. I saw somewhere that the coaches weren't happy at having to implement Ange's philosophy into the players as they felt it simply was uncoachable. If that's the case, we can let them off.

Ultimately the blame lies with Ange. I just never understood how a manager can get by without having a team of trusted assistants around him. Particularly when he isn't a coach himself. You just walk into a PL club, with a specific philosophy and way of playing, hire a bunch of strangers, and then task them with implementing that style. What could go wrong?

Sorry, but that sounds so amateur hour and a recipe for disaster.

I genuinely think Ange vastly overestimated his own ability, and underestimated the quality of the PL.

It's hard to have any sort of opinion on the what happens on the training ground as we are so in the dark over what happens there and we only see the fruits of it on the pitch. But still we do have little bits of insight, like I did pick up early on that Ange kept refering to how he 'trains differently to everyone else' and that 'everything they do is with the ball' and along with the Dier comments regarding there being no tactical work in preparation for matches - there's enough there to raise questions over what was going on. Whatever regarding the coaches at his disposal - that's his choice to work in that manner tbf

Agree totally, but this is the Thomas Frank thread 🤭

The pundit vibes around Frank seem positive. Not sure when they would be anything else but I think there seems enough to believe Frank will make an impact.

The unknown as ever is how he copes with the transition to the bigger demand and the combined challenge of the CL

I hope he has identified a need to strengthen a weak midfield, as well as obvious need for attacking improvements.

Sorry, post was meant to start with Frank and deviated towards Ange.

But ultimately just saying, I am really happy we have a professional team training the players again.

On Frank, my only expectation is we improve as the season goes on.

We will have a run of poor form at some stage, but as long as eventually we keep improving I am happy.

The eye test will tell us all we need to know. It will be pretty evident if we are going places or we aren't, regardless of results.

Looking forward to the new season
I believe TF will get the best from the squad
And improve the younger Players

Can I just mention something about Ange, because nobody's said anything about him for at least one and a half fucking posts.

Not angry old chap

Just think that if you want to talk Ange then be so kind as to do it on one of the Ange threads.

If you want to talk about Frank then do it on one of his threads!

Not difficult and no need to upset yourself!

If you want to talk bollox then I can’t really help you but feel that a few on here will help you out in that respect

I bid you good night Sir!

He certainly didnt overestimate his ability to win something though.

And its so disrespectful to other human beings to call them blaggers when you have not a single idea of who they are as people in any way shape or form. Its just more sour grapes.

Anyway glad he is gone so we dont have to hear any more long rants about how shit you think he is.

We are all winners here today.

I think you missed the irony of my post.

And of yours.

I'm excited about the season. With Frank it feels like we're getting more stability and less drama off the pitch. I think that will really help the younger players learn to be professionals, especially if some veterans are brought in.
