What if Tel & Odobert ARE Mikey's back-uo?? The kid is 17, so at worst they've got a coupla years on him experience wise... But if Mikey really IS the real deal, then we look after age protect him like City did with Foden... Their fans were calling for him to be drafted straight into the 1st team... but a 17 year old HAS to be eased in gently (STOP IT!) I think Frank will utilise him much Moore (Pun intended) next season and IF Mbeulo or Eze come along for the ride, all the better for it!
If we had a squad with the attacking talent of Eze and/or Mbeulo, Maddison, Kulu, Moore, Tel, Odobert, Johnson, Solanke and Son...
that's pretty much 3 players for each AM/WIDE position...
If Eze or Mbeulo were brought in, presumably they be the first choice additions to the likes of Kulu, Maddison and Solanke, that would leave Tel, Johnson, Odobert, Moore and Son as 1st team quality back ups!
Whether we need another striker to compliment Solanke if Richie is off remains to be seen...

I just hope not to see Johnson starting regularly again for us this season. If we have a competent right winger at least Solanke will have any service and we can properly judge him.
We’ve actually played this one well.
He got decent minutes last year, scored and assisted goals in Europe and the PL. He’s firmly established and embedded into the club. Now we can sell him on the idea of a loan to play every week in order to come back to us a better player. And the quality of club interested has gone up because of what he’s done.
Bundesliga loan? Or even Ligue 1? Championship Loan is a bit unambitious and unimaginative imo
You have to give the kids a chance, if only to create competition. What does it say to Odobert and Tel that they got time last season without doing much to earn it? Playing time needs to be earned for players to develop.
Some of the post match reports seemed to suggest he could be out for a while. It is odd that there have been no updates since the injury, yet he was completely absent from the England squad against Germany.
They don't give injury updates at England U19 level so unlikely to get one until preseason if he's out for the rest of the tournament
