I think we keep him close and gradually up his game-time as the season kicks on..........

If he's a generational player we want him for a decade or more..... Not to burn him out - mentally & physically - by his mid 20s.

.....We'd have seen more last season, but his illness kinda re-set that process. By the time he came back it was crunch time in the EL and the EPL was in a shit-spiral.

It seems to have completely slipped your mind just how many footballers are religious..........

(i.e. A HUUUUUGE amount of them... Esp. Hispanics and South Americans.)
It hasn’t sadly, I’m well aware half this planet believe in organised religion…but a bit of praise the lord and thank Jesus nonsense is harmless. This guy is getting into far more divisive territory and he shouldn’t be. It’s a headache we don’t need.

Agree with that, but your OG post was a massively broad stroke.

I would generally agree with you about a player of Moore's age and profile. We may be a year away from the moment where that Championship loan is the rocket fuel for him as a player.

But Ryan Mason at West Brom might be that perfect situation where we can have trust and faith in the environment we'd be sending Mikey to.

Frank and Lange need to sit with Mikey and his team and get a good sense of what he wants and feels prepared for. Above all else you want the player to be feeling pushed to, but not beyond, the maximum.

Archie Gray was excellent at Leeds too. Also lots of our players have been repeatedly injured.

I don't see who we have on the left that is so much better than Solomon? Son is declining, Odobert is another player from the Championship that wasn't any better in that league than Solomon was last season, Tel, not sure even if being a left sided player suits him. Moore still needs a loan IMO.

So unless Frank is going to ditch playing three forwards, why get rid of Solomon in particular?
Because we know at age 25 that he's not a difference maker for us, and we have a club ready to give us a good fee for him.

Declare victory and move on.

It's not a question of thinking that - it's what happened.
You might not want it to have been the truth but it was.
I said - I was not talking about anything else - only the particular post by Solomon.

You either did not read my post
Did not understand it
Did understand it- but decided to pretend you didn't.

Nah, I'd rather stay out of the bin, cheers.

Any discussion that isn't about the player with regards to his role at our football club and you're going in the bin. I get that those topics are intrinsic to this particular player but this isn't the place to discuss them. Cheers

Depends what Mason's WBA look like.... Bit of an unknown quantity right now.

Mase might crash and burn..... Or at the very least not be in a position to serve him with quality game time in a team that keeps the ball.

My point on the matter is who is a better difference maker than Solomon on the left? It's not as though the other players in that position have been particularly good, and not as good as Solomon has been for Leeds, albeit a lower league. We signed Gray from the same team, playing the same opposition week in week out.

I am not Tel's biggest fan by any stretch, but I think every scout in Europe would say Tel is the better player today and certainly into the future.

Plus we've already committed to the financial resources of buying him, the decision is already made. (Plus Mikey of course)

But even if we'd let him go back to Bayern, I think the answer would still be to sell Solomon to Leeds and dedicate the proceeds to buying a better player.

Solomon has played a lot of high level football in his career, all of it pointing to a decent PL squad player.

That helps Leeds, thus their interest, but we need to do better than that, and in order to do so we need money, and Manor Solomon can be turned into money quickly and easily right now.

You need to sell players when the price is right and the opportunity is there. Every club does.

The last British monarch born in Germany was George II whose coronation was in 1727.

The last German born spouse of a British monarch was Prince Albert - husband of Queen Victoria - who died in 1861.

Either way I certainly hope Spurs fans don't get onto Spurs Official twitter to dig out Steffan Freund or Klinsmann for WW1 or WW2 because that would be pretty fucking racist I reckon... :cautious:

But to answer your direct question - absolutely England fans should be singing that cos they've got fuck all else to sing about until they hire a proven winner to lead them to Cup Glory

:D
Do you think Tuchel will tap his feet?

He's going to get sold for pure profit because the club has already invested in Tel.

Solomon was good for a Championship team but he has a ceiling, I think the club probably think that Frank can get far much more out of Tel over the coming years.

I've been reading some articles that seem to have stemmed from a journalist called Sacha Tavolieri, who says that Thomas Frank wants to look at Solomon in pre season. though I don't know who this journalist is, how he would know, or if it's just rubbish.

Sure we could sell Solomon and put the money towards buying a better player as you say, but then we could do that with most of the squad.

I can't quite get my head around Archie Gray has a good season with Leeds and we panic because Brentford put a bid in and we didn't want to lose out, then Solomon has a good season with Leeds, they get promoted, he had a significant part in that achievement, and people can hardly wait for the club to sell him.

It's extremely simple.

Having a quality, impressive season in the Championship at age 17 and having a quality, impressive season in the Championship at age 25 have very, VERY different implications for the longer-term trajectory of a career.

Sure but reading between the lines of your comment I detect that Solomon can be useful now, if not far into the future.
It's not like he's going to cost anything and we can sell him when the others have matured.

I reckon Levy wants to sell players so you're probably right that he'll be sold.
