Mate, as has already been posted, he only started 3 games and was MOTM in all of them. The rest of his 12 games he was a sub coming on with less than 15 minutes to play. How you can equate that to "80%of his time being not good enough" I don't really know.
Can't say that on here no more.

Please consider another form of patronising greeting.

How is this CT and AT thing not a big dilemma for City, Liverpool and the scum? Chelsea must be royally fucked

Surely they just name smaller CL squads and don’t panic

They have put a lot of money into academy and younger players so don't have the same issues TBH. They go on list B which is unlimited to an extent. That's why it makes sense to invest in younger players (an activity that causes a section of spurs fans to froth at the mouth)

Chelsea have James, Chalobah, Colwill I think.
Liverpool had Trent, Kelleher, Jones, Elliot

We only have one in Austin so it’s a problem as I told you the other day. Makes no sense to name a CL squad three players short.

Donley will be 21 next year and club trained and then Gray, Bergvall the season after so it should ease then.

Aside from Club trained players we can include List B (u21's who have been at club for 2 or more years essentially) who will also be additional to the 21 players we can include as Overseas trained and HG in CL.

In 2025./26 that includes Devine, Donley, Abbott (al of whom have had successful loans and looked good last preseason) plus Moore and Scarlett. So its up to manager whether he wants them in Spurs squad next season (and will give them minutes) or out on loan - both courses have their pluses and minuses for club and player.

In 2026/27 Phillips becomes Club Trained, whilst Gray and Bergvall will qualify as List B, so our CT issues are gradually going away.

Who though?

City have a few academy kids Foden, Bobb, Lewis but that’s about it,

Liverpool have Jones, Elliot, Bradley and Gomez

Woolwich it’s Lewis smelly, Saka and that’s it?

IMO it makes more sense to name a squad 3 players short than to sign KWP for one season in the CL squad when he’s never playing a minute of CL football for us

A bit extreme ! I think that both Devine and Donley would do fine as rotation options as would Moore and say Scarlett. So we needn't be short of players at all,

Although we play CL this year when I looked through the teams likely to be in League phase a third or more were in EL last year, so for maybe half a dozen matches I'm not sure it will be different to last year when a number of youngsters played.

I actually disagree with that, if only because the injury risk to Porro/Udogie would have a much higher negative impact than playing KWP for a few matches here and there.

Let’s say not having backup gives them a 40% chance of injury, that’s a much bigger negative downside than the drop off in level from them to KWP.

Obviously it’s a shit situation and not one any team would want to be in but running Pedro and Destiny into the ground is arguably worse.

List A is 25 players, at least 2 GK. 8 must be 'locally trained', with no more than 4 'association trained'. As far as I see it, 'association trained' is HG, and 'locally trained' is HG but at the same club.

This is city's list from last Jan

17 x List A regulars, 2 x 'Locally Trained', 4 x 'Association trained'. That is 23/25. Then they had 4 'List B'

The key word for Liverpool is "Had" as Trent and Kelleher are gone and they look like they are open to offers for Elliot. They're basically in the same position we are but working on
signings for their first 11 first before delving into that issue.

If we keep signing more young players do you know what happens? the current young players that are about to be club trained will be shipped out on loan and we will be waiting years again for the ones we've just signed to be CT. The never ending cycle continues.

Or we could sign around 3 players that go directly into the first 11, sell some experienced players that are not up to it and keep the currently club trained players like Devine and maybe even Donley about and trust them to be squad players and see how that goes. We are never going to know how good Devine, Donley, Phillips, Dorrington etc are if we just keep loaning and loaning talent and inevitably selling.
