There must be a reason nobody is going near him. I believe he’s dropped his outrageous wage demands to a more manageable level and he’d probably be available for 50-70m.

With some of the prices and wages quoted for Vlahovic, Sesko, Izak, etc, there must be something about Osimhen that we don’t know, but all the top clubs do.
You don't go to Turkey in your prime year's if there's not something fundamentally wrong. Got Saudi written all over it.

From watching Justin Cochrane talking about him, I don't think he's as big a dickhead as many believe. According to JC he works hard, listens to instructions and endeavours to improve himself.

I don't know if many are basing their view on him based on his comments after the EL loss or not, but he was obviously frustrated as he backs himself. Maybe not the right time to say what he said, but he's a youngster, they make mistakes.

End of the day, if our new management team want him and think they can unlock his potential, who are we to argue?

Yeah the Cochrane interview puts a different spin on it for sure.

Plus let’s remember Man Utd isn’t the place to be a footballer any more. They’ve a worse culture than us. He had to play second fiddle to Rashford and usually looked more effective than him when on the pitch. He could well thrive away from there.

Frank likes players crossing the ball lots though, so I think we may target that kind of player more. Or big physical units. He’s neither of those.

Remind us what Liverpool owners actually did to go out of their way to win the PL last summer?
(you can go back 5 or 6 seasons, if you like)

Liverpool winning last season was a surprise but they won the PL, despite a zero spend.

It is fair to say that now they are backing the manager and looking to the future. That can't be disputed.

Levy does need to back his aspiration with something consistent with unwise words, but we can't spend 115 million pounds on one player. Knowing us if we bought any such player they would get injured in their first match and be out for the season.

Neither thanks, don't want any pikey or Mancs rejects.

He’s hardly a reject, he just doesn’t suit the way Amorim wants to play. It’s like us, take Son for example… he was totally unsuited to Ange’s way of playing. Does that mean he’s now a reject? How about Kane for England under Southgate? many fans were saying Kane was useless but it was Southgate’s bore fest approach that made very good to outstanding players look very average. Back to Spurs, our defence was like a sieve last season so does that mean Porro, Romero, VDVen and Udogie are crap?

That is a little harsh - Udogie is already a very good player who will develop into one of the very best LBs in world football and is already one of the best in the league IMO. Last year he missed all of pre-season after very significant quadricep surgery and then was played relentlessly in the first 3 months of the season until he broke down again. The fact Ange chose not to play Spence at all in that period was negligent. Once Udogie returned got some games under his belt, with his minutes managed through rotation for a few months, he looked consistently brilliant again (April onwards).
🤯😶
We do have the foundations of a very good squad with potential. As players like Bergvall (19), Gray (19), Tel (20), Udogie (22), Sarr (22), Odobert (20), Donley (20), Kinsky (22), Dragusin (23), Moore (17) and Vuskovic (18) grow into their potential it is essential that we invest in the right type of 'peak years' player to help them improve and gain consistency, and do not invest in even more youth. Our academy has a conveyor belt in place with the right manager.
Gray hasn't shown anything to say he's got great upside, neither has Tel. My thoughts on Udogie and Odobert are well known. Sarr hasn't improved much (if at all) either. Donley was on loan at a League One outfit last season, Vusko was in Belgium. Mikey chewed more gums than he had minutes. Kinsky and Drags? Lol.

Obviously time is on their side and yeah some/all could become world beaters, but let's not pretend they're Yamals or Mbappes at their age just cause they're our kids.

What we are missing is 2 or 3 more top players aged 26-30.
More like 5 or 6 but okay.

Vicario (27), Bentancur (27), Maddison (28), Solanke (27) and Romero (27) all fall into that category for me (although Vicario needs to stop shitting the bed on corners!).
Romero is only on the A-list cause he's Spurs (them bloody rose tinted glasses) and cause Qatar gifted the Argies the WC in '22.

None of the others are elite, that's why they're with Tottenham and not PSG, Real, City, Pool...

There’s also the fact that Liverpool’s squad was far superior than most teams, especially those outside of the top 3. The best teams only require tinkering, they don’t need huge investment and wholesale changes like the clubs that are miles behind the top 3 to 6.

It’s more than just the style. Amorim apparently humiliated him infront of the rest of the team. You don’t do that unless it’s personal. He is a talented player, but not one we should pursue.

I get you, but I don't think Galatasaray execs or fans give two shits about that. The man came in, scored a zillion goals, won them the league title. Basically...Veni, Vidi, Vici (only in Turkish).

Play him upfront for us and see the difference with Solanke/Richy/Sonny/Brennan.

Kulusevski isn’t very good either, we should be improving on that level of footballer not spending good money to get more of them.

Yes get. Alls into the box, that’s what Ange liked. Johnson can’t do that and we need better than Solanke in the middle to get on the end of those crosses. I don’t think Mbeumo is all that great a crosser either.
