I don’t know anything about him but Kawasaki were the second best team in Asia this season and he was a key part. He’s not some youth player tucked away in a U21 league. Started and played huge games.

I really don’t mind this signing. It’s spending huge sums like £40m each on the likes of Archie Gray and Mathys Tel which causes issues for us, not £5m punts.

If he’s not good it doesn’t really matter. If he is, we make a handsome profit or get a good player for cheap.

Both Gray and Tel will come food and will be worth more than what we paid for them by the end of next year.

It’s not that I think they’re shite, it’s that they take up significant portions of our transfer funds. So we can’t buy senior players, as we’ve spent it all on them. £5m on this kid is harmless in comparison and doesn’t prevent us from buying anyone.
