Why do you talk about Son, if everything started with him ? We didnt buy Son for 25m from Bayer Leverkusen for shirt sales. We bought him because we are buying a promising talent from Bundesliga

Why do you have problems buying 20 yr old Japanese CB. What is the problem here. ? Is he from a lower league ? Or is he from asia and you think we buying for shirt sales ? Because if you say earlier, I somewhat get you. If you say later, thats laughable.

Who said to you that because we bought this guy, we wont buy a no6 ? Why do you worry about it ?

I ask these many questions because, your post just dont make anysense....

End of the day, squad is just taking shape. No one knows who will be sold, kept & bought. Give it time. Moan about no6 by mid August if it didnt happen
1) I speak about Son because its the start of Levy realising what a Cash Cow having an Eastern Player in the Premier League is.

2) Why do I have a problem with buy a 20 yr old CB, because we've already got another teenager in Vuskovic waiting to break into the first team. Daniel buys these kids and later complains that the Club doesn't have money. We have a whole Kindergarten of Youngsters. We don't need them as much as we need quality experienced, plug and play players.

3) We haven't had a No6 for quite a while and bought a 30 million kid who is "A generational talent" supposedly for the No6 position (I'm sure you know how that ended).

Wake up. It's the same Old Shit, just another Day.

Levy is doing business, buying youngsters who won't help the first team but may be sold for a profit later... which profit he will either pocket or blow on the next Richarlison or Ndombele. Trust the process!

I dont even think its about fattening up the youngsters to sell for profit anymore. Its more about hoping we stumble on the next Dele or Bale. Its also about low wages that youngsters will be on. Really a return to the Pleat/Arnesen 2004 to 2010 model. But times moved on, we were largely the only club doing that back then and fair play we were pretty good at it. Now everyone does it and most are a lot better at it than us. Its fantasy to think we'll have the Defoe, Carrick, Lennon, Rose, Bale success rate we had then.

The point is simple, a 31 year old carries a greater risk of dropping off considerably compared to a 25 year old.

We’ve no idea what’s in store for Norgaard but the risk is definitely higher, it’s irrefutable
Of course it is but my argument is 31 is not old. Do I think we’ll spend money on Norgaard? No but I think we need experience this season and not just sign potential. When your experience steps up you will win more games. We saw it with Romero and Bentancur in the big europa games. Its invaluable.

Yeah obviously opinions differ.

I saw all I needed of Onana in the CL semi final against Ajax! Dived like I would! 😂

Zirkzee’s and Hojlund’s numbers in inferior leagues were pretty meh for forwards.

Sancho tore it up at Dortmund but with talk of attitude issues I’d have passed. DeLigt is probably the only player that I’d have been vaguely interested in if we weren’t playing a high line.
Agree with the opinions bit, IMO they all passed the 'eye test', absolutely totally different players in that red shirt to what they looked to be before, guessing it's why they seem to be going for players that have proved themselves in the league this summer.

Lyon have been relegated to Ligue 2, we could get a steal price on Georges Mikautadze.

This guy is underrated- Speedy, Skillfull, Ball carrying / 1 on 1's, crossing, Finishing, Long shots, decision making work ethic, Versatile, not a weak fooker either lol ... he's a nightmare for defenders

Adding Tom Bischof (20yo CM Hoffenheim) . This kid keeps popping up with good metrics on data sheets. Hadn’t watched loads, so set about watching some bits and bobs, and like what I have seen. He looks like a slightly more mobile, more tenacious Adam Wharton. Gets his foot in, but also has vision with his passing and pops up with goals/assists too.

What do mean with "ended"? The guy's still on 19 years old and played 28 games for Spurs last season, filling RB, LB, RCB; LCB and CM spots (due to the injury crisis).
It's takes time for most DCM do develop into regulars. How many 19 years DMF do you see having cemented their spot in a EPL team?
Or do you believe that Gray, at 19, has hit his peak and won't improve anymore as a player?

They have no model. They can't sell any players because they put them on such ridiculous wages that if they flop they are stuck with them. Rashford and Sancho are on 700k a week combined and they can't sell them. Meanwhile they are signing similar level players like Cunha and Mbeumo and offering them stupid wages. so if they flop they are stuck with them too and can't resell them! Now they want to sell Garnacho!

Meanwhile they'll stick Amad as a wing back next season to accommodate Mbeumo and Cunha. And guess what'll happen? Amad will struggle in the new role and not have as good a season. Confidence will drop and this time next year he'll be the new Garnacho/Sancho/Rashford! "Quick sign Hakimi - a proper right back! Offer him 500k a week to come!"
Well, that's my point. I think it is a "model" ... pay huge wages to try and buy success. It just doesn't work for them. It's the opposite of us tbh.

Tom Bischof is not really a DMF but more of an CMF who can also play wide in position where Spurs have enough players already (Bentancur, Bissouma, Sarr, Bergvall, Kulusevski). . It's a "solid" DMF Spurs need.
Anyway, he joined Bayern in June this year and's playing in the club WC for them now.
Brighton will charge £80-90+ for Baleba and Minteh (both were there for the taking last summer but Lange & co. passed up that chance...)

BUT all your gripe has nothing to do with a singular transfer of a 5m CB. ? Him being from Japan should have no cause for concerns. Btw, Most of the sponsor money on Son being with us dont go to club but goes to Sonny. Only part we get is through the Korean fans coming into watch us. Even any shirt sales, we only get %. This aspect been covered well by journos following club including Gold. We buying Yang didnt bring in millions...Hence this asian thing isnt a thing when it comes to player buys. So, only make your assessment on quality of player and not from which place player is coming from.

On Vuskovic - he is barely 18. While he is outgrown for his age, reports are he is not fast and needs to improve on speed and lot more of aspects of game.

Lange has done enough to earn the trust on judgement of young players brought in.

So, lets wait & see before passing judgement.

I don't think Spurs focusing so narrowly on prospects (who sometimes turn into suspects) is always the best way, but when you compare it to Man U's approach it looks reasonable. Prospects do fail, and accumulating them in numbers puts the odds more in your favor. But in a rebuild process there has to come a time when you begin to add experienced players and increase wages. Whether Levy and the board are prepared to do it remains to be seen.
