Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just go and get Eze ffs.
It really is this simple.

Great player with a star quality on and off the pitch, London lad, keen on the move, can be had for a reasonable price in this market, prime age, immediately elevates the team, just do it, this is as low-risk as a move in that price point can possibly be.

Much like with Maddison I feel like Eze would seem like he's spent a decade at Spurs within like two months. Right player right club right time.

37 goals in the last 2 seasons playing for premier league clubs against mostly premier league clubs (all comps) Vs a decent Coventry player who's done well in a very poor league.

Carlos Vinicius, Soldado and Vincent Jansen are turning in their graves.
Solanke had an anomaly season for Bournemouth the season before last scoring 19.

He’s a 10ish PL goal a season striker that no team is ever really going to fear, and considering we paid 65 million for him I would consider that a relatively poor investment.

Gyokeres has scored 97 goals in 102 games for Sporting. Including 11 goals in 17 Champions League games. Do you realise how insane that is? To compare him to Soldado Vinicius and Vincent Janssen is just pure ignorance. He is on a totally different level to them.

The reason teams are reluctant to pull the trigger is because of his age, which is understandable considering what Sporting want for him. But his quality is absolutely undoubted.

No striker playing in Portugal can be called "the best striker in Europe". It is a pub league through and through and a totally different intensity to the Premier League.

If he moves to the Prem, he is likely going to struggle. He'll have a fraction of the time and space to work with and infinitely more pressure both physically and mentally to deal with.

Any club who spends the £60m+ required to sign him will regret it.
I said arguably, and I think considering his numbers over the past 2 seasons (which includes Champions League) he has to be in the discussion.

The Portuguese league hasn’t seen a striker like him since Falcao, and many would have put him in the discussion of one of the best in Europe at Porto.

Also I would argue about teams regretting paying 60 million for him.
We paid 65 mil for Dominic Solanke who score 9 PL goals, if you think Gyokores wouldn’t match them numbers you’re kidding yourself.

Exactly why I want us to sign an exp DM...

Wharton isn't an exp DM and he's gonna cost a lot of money and still requires nurturing as he's not the finished article, pointless.
Wharton is an exceptionally good DM.

Our Bozo board didn't want to part with the 20m Blackburn wanted when it was clear he was an exceptional talent. They were probably annoyed at their inability to act of the initial interest and decided to overspend on Gray so it didn't happen again. Sadly for them and us Gray is not and will never be the player Wharton has become.

If true, €200,000 a week is still a lot for an unproven EPL player...

We get into these situations constantly where we're sniffing around talent that won't sign new deals at their club and leverage is building to acquire them for a lower transfer fee than they're worth :levywhoa:

But then PRECISELY BECAUSE their acquisition cost is going downward, that value is moving instead to bidding up the player's wages beyond what we're willing to pay :levywtf:

This is a transfer market tactic that has past its expiration date, we're wasting our time searching for deals this way.

Yeah, we've seen that script play out too many times.

I also remember when people told us that Rashford, Welbeck, Giroud, Jesus, [insert half a dozen more names] were better or more complete forwards than Kane.

I remember the closet goooner here insisting thst Jesus & Zinchenko were the special sauce that would win AFC the league......

The same div properly gassed up Utds last summer haul of Ugarte, Zirkze & DeLigt as a difference maker.

200k a week for him

It's all personal opinion but I thought they were all very good players before they went there.

Sancho and Onana in the champions league the years previous were excellent. Deligt good enough for Bayern and Juve to see something, Zirkzee obviously a bit slow but technically excellent. Hojlund pacey strong and clinical.

DeLigt has been been tossed around like a used hanky since he left Ajax.

Oh well
