Like shitting a pineapple I'd imagine. They've been on a massive drive to beef up the measly 15% Levy IN vote these last few days. It's been absolutely relentless.
They had a bit of minimal success in the first few days, flipping 4 or 5 people, but now seem to have hit a solid brick wall again.
Must be very frustrating for them
Rings?
It's called progress I suppose...to me (to you) the OWHL once regarded as our home was a fit for purpose football ground that could be quite intimidating to opposition visitors when it wanted to be whereas the Tottenham Hotspur stadium is a (breathtakingly beautiful) purpose built events arena which we use among others on a perennial basis.
The new stadium is still our stadium, no matter how many events are held there and no matter how often the simple of mind seem to misunderstand the words “anchor tenant”.
It’ll seem more like home with every passing season, with every memory created.
Another myth though isn't it, the old ground has it's moments and got loud especially when the team were doing well but the best atmosphere we've had in the new ground was when we beat Woolwich 3-0 to pip them to a Champions League spot.
Once again the reason why the new stadium hasn't been as loud is because for the most part we've had barely anything to get behind, fleeting moments under Conte in his first season and the first 2-3 months of Ange, since then it's been poor...this is nothing to do with the stadium and everything to do with team performance and fan connection.
Let's not act like the old WHL was always loud, there was plenty of times we had to sit through AVB ball bored out of our tits because the football was dead and there was nothing to get behind.
Ultimately the bottom line on White Hart Lane is that 36k was just a complete non-starter for a club with any kind of trophy-winning ambition, expanding it to the degree it would have been viable would have dramatically changed the character of the place anyway, and because of how hemmed in it was by dense London real estate (unlike say Anfield) those options were always going to look pretty unfavorable compared to an entirely new build.People miss the old stadium because we were mostly good the last 10 years we were there. Last few seasons we were 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 5th, 4th, 5th 4th. We were watching players like Berbatov, Modric, Bale, Van Der Vaart, Eriksen, Dembele, Kane and Son.
Since we moved into the new stadium we've been 6th, 7th, 4th 8th, 5th 17th. Other than Kane and Son who were already here we've seen no great players, no real memories other than the 3-0 over Woolwich under Conte and perhaps the 1st leg against City in the CL. Its probably less about the stadium but people have no real connection because we've been average to poor. As a club we just dont seem to have much of an identity anymore.
I see, a non palatable one that refuses to budge.
Imagine shitting this.

Does the new stadium have its annoyances and reflect Levy's "anything but football competitiveness" ideology in certain ways? Absolutely. But its greatest quality is that it exists (unlike the festering messes at Chelsea and United), and it gives the club a huge leg up competitively. We should be grateful for it now, and under leadership that is not Daniel Levy the possibilities there are much, much greater in a way they could not have been at OWHL.
They really shouldn’t have needed to clarify his statement. Reads perfectly well to the sane amongst us. Just misunderstood by the dense. The person rsponsible for the "anchor tenant" & "NFL stadium" was head of THFC’s business development Aidan Mullally when he was on a panel at an event Advertising Week Europe in 2019, sounds very much an advertising pitch maybe to try and pinch games from Wembley, and the idea of a franchise at the stadium is a bit fanciful, are ENIC going to buy a franchise for 4 billion dollars and the rest. The club really should have put out some sort of statement after Mullally said that.
Anyone who has read the book Destination Tottenham can see that this is the home of Tottenham Hotspur FC and the other events are just a few extras when were not using it, anyone here rent out their home whilst on their winter holidays , is it still your home?
You understand Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium operate and are listed as two separate companies? The person rsponsible for the "anchor tenant" & "NFL stadium" was head of THFC’s business development Aidan Mullally when he was on a panel at an event Advertising Week Europe in 2019, sounds very much an advertising pitch maybe to try and pinch games from Wembley, and the idea of a franchise at the stadium is a bit fanciful, are ENIC going to buy a franchise for 4 billion dollars and the rest. Nothing in my post suggests anything other than the OWHL resembled the traditional football ground compared to the multi purpose stadia that have replaced them. The new stadium is still our stadium, no matter how many events are held there and no matter how often the simple of mind seem to misunderstand the words “anchor tenant”.

Really wasn’t having a pop at you at all. I agree with all you said. Pretty sure I even gave your post a “like”.Nothing in my post suggests anything other than the OWHL resembled the traditional football ground compared to the multi purpose stadia that have replaced them.
Not sure what you are getting at by using the term 'anchor tenant' ....to whom are you referring, the Club the playing staff or the fans?
I love the place and not only do I see it as a step up to the OWHL I see it as an upgrade over Wembley also. That said I'm realistic enough to determine the only thing my ST guarantees me is 19 visits a season and that's how I view it plain and simple
As I posted earlier it is a breathtakingly beautiful stadium but it is certainly not owned by us and those who do own it built it specifically to use as multi event venue and that is exactly what they are doing. I say this not as a criticism more an observation it doesn't bother me in the slightest that the stadium is used for other sporting or non sporting events.
They maybe seperate companies but they are the both subsideries of Tottenham Hotspur Limited which is the overall controlling company, The Woolwich have the same sort of set up with the Emirates Woolwich (EMIRATES STADIUM) LIMITED overview - Find and update company information - GOV.UK. I have no idea why they are set up like this but they all have the same directors and overall ownership, you would need to consult a corporate lawyer to understand it all.You understand Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium operate and are listed as two separate companies?

And no, of course ENIC wouldn't buy an NFL franchise. The aim would be a UK based franchise signing a long term agreement to use their stadium.
Try to find a top club in which the football team owns the stadium. Who are the UK franchises that are going to set up a NFL team in London, there is absolutely no rumours of this happening, it's all hearsay.
Ah I didn't know that, well it's a pity it couldn't have been upgraded. This was considered but in the end was dismissed as not feasible , being hemmed in by Worcester Ave, Paxton and Park Lane didn't help, there was an architects report published years ago giving the exact reasons.
