Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Better than the supposed exodus that was going to happen, expected it 15 first teamers gone by now the way people were talking on here

The likelihood is that Son will remain until after the pre-season tour of South Korea. I'd hope he stays at Spurs, but his marketing value makes him very attractive to USA for world cup promotion.

Romero pretty much said outright that he would leave if Ange was sacked. So, it's no surprise. 50/60m for a player that has started less than half of games is a pretty decent fee.

Bentancur and Bissouma entering last year of contract. I would have expected Bentancur to have an extension on the table, so it's possible his agent will be shopping him around.

It’s pretty clear now that Ange wasn’t sacked for winning the EL, he was sacked for realizing that winning trophies isn’t part of the model.

As soon as he started talking about wanting to win more and needing experienced players, he was toast.

The more time passes since he was moved on, the more it looks likely that he was managing against the club to win that EL.
i bet levy offered him to loan Werner one more season instead

Nonsense, He just wasn't a good enough coach. Hes good a talker and motivator.

The fact that he started panicking on the touchline when Tel was holding the ball for the penalty against Frankfurt

When Wells and all the players knew what was going on shows the disconnect he had in general with the team and day to day training at the club.

Correct.

Postecoglou was a very good talker, other than after matches. Good enough coach - not at this level.

He is gone but nothing since his departure is bringing silence to his loyal band of wallowers.

At least not yet.

Keep believing that if it makes you feel better,

Just remember it when the transfer window is a key down as usual. Look out for this summers Lenglet or Werner on loan as the dead giveaway.

We paid £45m for Romero and since then he’s won 1 x Europa League, 2 x Copa Americas and 1 x World Cup, and is now just entering the peak years for a CB (27 - 32). He has two years left, and next summer is a World Cup shop window. I think if no one gets close to £65-70m we don’t sell this summer and can get £50m next summer when he has a year left on his contract.

Both things can be true.

Postecoglou isn't a good enough coach at this level.

And levy isn't proactive enough to see us succed for the top top honours.

I personally want 4 starters in, it won't happen but Postecoglou didn't lose his job because he wanted the same its because he just wasn't good enough.

selling Romero for 47 million is not gonna happen. Atletico Madrid need to stop pretending they're that poor otherwise they're just wasting everyones time. One thing with Levy is he isn't gonna just buckle because the player's head has turned , he'll just be forced to stay for another season

"Dear Diego Simeone

Shut your whore mouth unless you got a hundred million (pounds not euros).

Open your fat bastard trap again, and I will gut you like a fish.

Yours,
CarrieFi."
