Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If any answer to a question we have asked, and in the first instance, and as a statement of intent the answer is Kudus, I think that provides a very painful reality.

I hope nobody at this club tells me that the possible signing of Kudus represents ambition.

Can you just imagine to have gone from the players we have secured the services of over the years, and then be left parading a West Ham castaway.

I mean Good Lord..

There's an entire thread for Other Transfers.

There are other threads for Chelsea, Woolwich, Liverpool, Villa and any other club you want to idolize.

You probably won't get the attention you're looking for there, but they do exist.
His post was relevant here though.
Transfers in and out of major PL clubs have obvious ramifications for our own prospective window.

Hi John Thomas

Explain why you disappeared around the time of our glorious trophy win and then never posted anything positive or celebratory about it when you came back.

Explain yourself or fuck off.

Its a question of which Kudus we getting.
If Frank can get the Kudus of 2023/24, he absolutely moves the needle big time. 17 goals & 7 assist all comps.

You only have to look at first 3-4 minutes of this video to get how he could move the needle...we have absolutely no one who would do anywhere close to what he does.

Ofcourse, if Kudus of 2024/25 turns up , thats a different story...

He’s talented but it’s a punt on a player who has gone off the boil. Which isn’t really where we should be at having just got CL qualification and starting a new era under a new coach.

The ambition to target players at the top level playing their best football just isn’t there. That isn’t to say Kudus definitely won’t come good, but we’d never be near for him if it was after that top level season because we’d never pay the money.

Poor old JT
He is totally fixated on the PL table.
I told him the price of us being mugged week in week out was worth it but he just couldn't get that table out of his head

Regarding Kudus everyone on here wanted a take on specialist.... he is exactly that.

One thing that did suprise me is he's actually a very accurate passer of the ball, for a winger in the 95 percentile that's pretty decent.

Also looking on dataMB his performances between the last 2 seasons at spammers is pretty similar apart from his G/A output

He's a versatile player but primarily a RW and I think that's why he may be preferred...with kulusevski being out for start of season.

He kinda makes sense, he does have the ability to pull out a worldie too but seems to lack consistency and a lot of west ham fans want him out.

I'm torn on him but he could be excellent under Thomas Frank.

You know that's bollocks; surely?
I mean with Harry Kane as our all-time highest paid on 200kpw (for six years of his prime with no release clause), and efforts having been made to reduce the wage bill since then, how bollocks is it?

Players whose motivation is to be making the peak of football riches at the most decorated clubs avoid putting their playing registration in Daniel Levy's hands, I think that's just the honest truth.

They can't make that money at Tottenham, nor can they escape to clubs where they can. Players are stupid, but agents aren't.

It's not the end of the world, and handing out silly wages to fill every hole creates its own problems, but it's certainly a matter of concern.

Our wages to turnover ratio for the 24/25 season is going to be pretty embarrassing for the club when it comes out, it's going to be lower than 23/24.
