Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I just don’t get it. I’ve rarely been impressed when I’ve watched him so thought I’d look at his stats in case I’ve missed something and they are average. So the data doesn’t back up the signing either.

Stats indicate he's an excellent dribbler and a good passer.

he has ability but he doesn't seem to be involved an awful lot.

One thing I have noticed with the FBref Att/Mid tab quite a few players come up looking very average even if you look at similar players for example at Anthony Gordons it doesn't look good for him either and he walks into our team.

Reading that Kumb thread the majority don’t rate him and are happy to pull out pants down. we’d be absolute mugs to sign him. We’d be all wanting rid in 12 months. Another big waste of money. The talk of other clubs wanting him is bollocks as well imo just trying to create interest. I’d rather buy no one in that position than him.

TBF that's the same club that wanted rid of Allardyce when he had them top half, wanted rid of Moyes when he rescued them from the bottom of the table, then wanted rid of him again when he'd won a trophy.

Not great source of opinions. After all, they started with "I want to support West Ham"

We have enough options (currently) in the LW spot - Kudus should only be pursued if we lose a couple of them. Didnt he lose his shit once and get sent off against us?

The money (if we have any) needs spending on another 10 to play when Maddison is either crap or injured (66% of the season) and an experienced 6 or 8 who is a complete bastard to play against

Don't like the idea of signing players who by all accounts come across as total bellends. Invariably ends up badly in the long run.

Still, if Kudus is the one they really want to go after then so be it. Will have my support if it gets done.

I am torn on this , he is undoubtedly talented but lots of stories about a bad attitude .

Is that Moss from the Indian version of IT Crowd?

But West Ham have PSR issues and need to sell so there's a deal to be had.
We can't pass up on these opportunities.

Not seen enough of Kudus to determine his level of spite. Lamela shithousery is top tier. Fernandes petulance is borderline embarrassing. Hopefully the former. Hard to judge -- who wouldn't be livid playing for Spam.

Different with managers though. More subjective. They are just describing him as a player. Head down, selfish, doesn’t spot passes, lacks game intelligence runs into one too many players. Just all the stuff you can see if you’re watching whole games not just watching spliced highlights imo

I think Kudus is a good signing. He’s not an excellent signing but if we can save money on him compared to Mbeumo and Eze (both of whom I’m not convinced are worth £70m and tons of wages) and really go after a top 6 then I’m OK with it. He’s a great dribbler, will help our ball retention massively, versatile, has goals and a final ball in him.

Importantly he’s a left footed right winger with pace. We haven’t had that in ages.

Definitely happy if we do get him, but only if it allows us to kick on to go get a real difference-maker in midfield.

I couldn't be less inspired by a signing of a so called experienced player.

With all respect to Solanke, it's how I felt when we started to get strongly linked to him. He has since done okay. Nothing more than that.

We have completely lost our pull effect if these are the best type of players we can attract in my opinion.

Years gone by, this calibre of player would have been way down our want or wishlist, or at least that is what I think.

Quite depressing.

Do 4-0 wins in the league at the Etihad and Villa Park count?

I guess my only real point is that I feel like some of our fans don't enjoy things like trips to Tamworth or Bodo, which I think is a real shame, that kind of stuff makes supporting a club like Spurs fun and unique.
yea thats 2 in almost 2 years....keep going.

tamworth....one of the most embarrassing results in the clubs history, yea right enjoyable night!

theres 100% a very good player there, hes shown that. when hes been on his game hes been our best player. need to get that out of him more, needs a good manager and a good system to thrive in.
Ffs that old line ‘there a player there’. Hate that line. You could say that about anyone. Why do we have many players where a lot of fans think ‘there’s a player in there’?
Why can’t have some players whose actually ‘there’ whatever that means.

na you cant say that about anyone. kulu has proven he has elite ability.

granted it was a long time ago but for a few months under conte he was our best player, the ability is in him, hes shown us. hopefully frank can get it out of him, if he cant then yea, he'll have to go wont he.

Maybe - football fans think all the players are shit when the team isn't winning. This thread is not massively different with regards to players that would add something to the strongest PL sides
