I do watch Atalanta most weeks and this is quite ungenerous to what Lookman has done there to improve himself as a player.

People are criticising the filth because the evidence has been public knowledge virtually since it all began. Meanwhile, you're defending them by digging OUR club for signing an innocent man and, for some unknown reason, bringing up a completely different affair with Aurier, like clocking a cozzer is as heinous a crime as rape.

In a much much worse league. McTominay is a legend over there. Lukaku is one of the better strikers in the league.

Lookman has probably improved, he’s got older and got more experience, but no chance he does half of that in the Prem, and I think he and his team know it.

EL is a major trophy

Football is a funny old game. They could have a major fall off and sack Arteta by Christmas. It’s not impossible by any stretch that we finish above them in the PL and/or go deeper in the CL this season

I think its perfectly valid to look at and compare the transfer business our rivals are doing, particularly our rivals chasing league titles and champions leagues (This is what your chairman professes to be his ambition after all)

Even you would not argue that our squad stacks up well compared to Woolwich's and Chelsea's. And I think people are well within their rights to voice concern over that when you consider that we had a better team than them in virtually every position a few short years ago. Now I'm struggling to make a case for any of our players starting for either Chelsea or Woolwich realistically.

This comparison shines a cold hard light directly on our lack of ambition as a club. And that's what irks you the most. Because you can't waffle your way out of it.

It proves that transfers aren't particularly hard, where there is a will and a chequebook there is always a way.

If you are truly ambitious that is.

Just kinda shats all over your narrative and the narrative of others on here that try and claim we are well run and that we show ambition.
