Can you name players that would transform us?

I can: Mbappé, Rodri… um…. Not many others. One player is never going to be transformational.

Two seasons ago he was one of the best players in the league and I couldn't believe how good he looked, and I couldn't believe after being linked when he was in Holland, that we dropped the ball and missed out on him. Last season he wasn't as good, but his ability was still there for all to see.

Also, his attributes are exactly what we need in the squad.

I think he's an excellent signing. If Frank can work his magic on him, the guy has world class potential.

France have won more world cups and european championships than us. Weve caught up if not overtaken them though in producing better younger players coming through. Likely down to more continental play now in premier league. I just dont like the idea of the word palace when its not. Not really a countdown fan but palace in the dictionary means splendid building. Selhurst park isnt.
 
I think we are all a bunch of masochists! Every window, every season we excite about the possible, always forgetting who owns and runs our club. You would think after 2+ decades we would realise our comments on this player and that player joining and what we might achieve as a result would have worn a bit thin by now, but no! We continue to expose ourselves to this pain with our benign expectations and comments.

I liken it to a bloke standing at 5ft.9" tall, just a mere 3" away from being a 6 footer, yet it will never be!
