Hope we get MGW over the line in the next couple of days.

Chelsea winning the fucking Club World Cup and Woolwich signing Gykores and a CB plus Madueke. Already got Zubimendi. And the cunts are going to sign Eze too. We need some momentum.

Let's get MGW signed up and then get this top class 6 in please

Quite.

"Do what Brighton do" is all well and good... Except our fans (in some respects, understandably) don't want what that actually entails.

I didn't say we should do that, I'm saying that's just what Brighton do.
But bigger clubs like ourselves can't afford to have someone learning on the job
That's partly why we ended up in 17th having bergvall , gray , Moore, odobert, tel playing a ton of league games

Woolwich may sign whoever they want, they are still Saka dependent. Madueke is a low average goal scorer in PL. 55m on him is stupid. How Gyokeres will turn out is anybodys guess. Eze ofcourse will improve them big time. But the pressure will get to them. Expectation is sky high now. If they dont keep up with Liverpool they will implode.

Chelsea backline is bang average and that will be their downfall

Regardless, we cant & shouldnt compare ourself to them. We are not there and we wont challenge them much this season
For now, if we get Gibbs White & get a good no6 that means we have all ingredient of a great squad to compete well.

Who said that?

The likes of Eze, Olise & Wharton all went to CP despite big reputations because - rightfully for their development - they opted for game-time.

........Same reason Bowen went to WH.
I did. 🤣In Wharton's case what actually needed developing? Made his debut for Palace 2 days after joining them and started all 15 remaining games to the season end. If that wasn't enough only months after his move he was called up to the senior England squad and got himself a place on the plane to Euro '24 ahead of the likes of Grealish and Maddison.

I understand the risks of taking a punt but we were watching this lad for at least 6 months prior to his sale and dallied for far too long thinking maybe we could screw B'burn again like we did with Phillips and got sucker punched by another club.

Honestly, I’d be happy with selling some deadwood and getting Kudus, MGW and some left-sided defensive cover.

I want to see the coaching team improve our young players and for us to play in a tactically smart way. We’ll see huge improvement just with that.

The young players in our squad with high ceilings are unbelievable.

20 or under: Moore, Vuskovic, Bergvall, Gray, Yang, Takai, Odobert, Tel

If half those players make significant growth this year then we’ll have four exceptional talents on our hands.

I think we forget that Udogie and Sarr are still only 22. Kinsky too.

Dragusin, Johnson, Spence, Kudus and Van de Ven are 23/24 and have a lot more growth in them.

So much talent that has a lot more growth in them with some proper coaching and sensible tactics.

Fucking exciting even without the transfer window.

.. Daniel, is that you?

Why would you offer the same money for a worse player? Not very good business IMO.

Disagree.

Guehi is good. Romero might be better, but what point if he is only on it 70% of the time?

Real Madrid need bolstering big time, so if there is truth in the rumour, I see no downside, as long as we have a replacement sorted.

A focused Romero would be brilliant, but with 2 years on his contract to go, he won't be and doesn't need to be.
