Just to give you an example, a number of star players here - Mbappe, Bellingham, Jamal, maybe more - have €1 billion release clauses. If it became known that one of those wanted out, potential buyers would start by offering loads less but Madrid, Barça whoever could try holding out. As everyone knows, nobody will be forking out a billion (what's more in one go), that sum is simply insurance given the astronomical wages these people are on.

We've triggered the release clause by offering THAT AMOUNT (not some derisory sum that everyone would be on Levy's tight fisted back for) and they've reported us for offering the amount THEY demanded to release him...?

If we'd have low balled, we'd be back to square 1 with the Levy/Spurs don't spend PROPER money, but when Arse do it, it's ok?? So how come THEIR confident of getting THEY'RE Player, and we're still scratching around wondering??

The assumption now is that he sees out the rest of his days at the City Ground, yeah? That's him there now, for the entirety of his career.... Fine.

No one really knows for sure who at Forest is disrupting everything, do they? Because no one has gone on record and nothing has been quoted from anyone.

I'm absolutely certain Chelsea trolled us for years after Modric by signing everyone we wanted.
Maybe we should do the same to Forest. Or at least drive the price up for them.
 
Hopefully him not being at training is a sign that the deal is imminent. Rather than some sort of protest which could just make tensions higher and then we'd be forced to wait for the PL to get involved.
 
Right I've had enough of this saga now. Same stories getting recycled for days and false reports being shared as facts.

I'm tapping out. Hopefully we get him and it all works out but I can't do another day of running around a wheel like a hamster checking for updates
 
The deal is probably dead. If the player and Spurs are unwilling to do anything I can’t se why Forest would their position. So if we want this deal done we either need to pay more or Gibbs White needs to put in a transfer request.
